X'mas Dinner @ Crystal Jade Golden Palace

Had a dinner date on X’mas day with my family and my 5th uncle family from Malaysia… Made reservation for dinner at Crystal Jade Golden Palace at Paragon.. Never went there before, but I know that place is one atas restaurant..

Once inside, I can confirm the place is atas… the deco speaks for itself…

There’s 8 adults and 2 kids, so we took 1 big round table… Ordered the set dinner, with ala carte dish like roasted suckling pig and barbeque pork.. those are yummy.. When the food is served, my jaws dropped even further.. all food served are in single serving…

Here’s what is included in the set : -
- One bowl of fish maw soup
- One plate of abalone with veges
- One plate of prawns
- One plate of Peking duck skin with popian skin
- One plate of fried fish
- One bowl of noodles and lastly,
- One dessert….

Overall, bill cane up to approx S$1,300.. though expensive, but it’s dinner worth while… we spilt the bill with my parents to give my uncle a treat..

After dinner, we visited taka and took some pictures with the big Christmas tree… it’s an different x’mas day spent this year… =P

Next year x’mas, my house would be ready… yeah… so happy… so looking towards it…

The Restaurant... The Food... The Bill

My auntie and my 2 handsome cousins...

Families pics.. Incl my uncle...

What is X'mas without parties???

Had 3 X’mas parties this year but we only chose to go to 2 of them… The one we gave up is that at our auntie’s house on x’mas eve.. Dun like that event cos it’s quite boring.. Usually, we’ll stay at home to collect presents from our auntie.. ke ke ke.. this year, I got a mango bag… quite nice one too… =P

Part 1 : Juan’s Hse
We went to our 1st x’mas party @ Juan Juan’s hse on 23rd Dec... She’s in her very advanced stage of pregnancy.. so dun wan her to move too much.. so we paid her a visit.. Had a potluck dinner, with good food like dim sum (incl fried toufu, char siew pau etc), old chang kee, fried bee hoon, potato wedges and otah… Ended the dinner with sparkling juice + log cake + ice cream cake… yum yum yum…

The 2 babies, Jovin and Justin are around.. However, Justin is not in a very good mood that night, so he kept wailing… As usual, Jovin keeps everybody entertained and we had real good photos taken with her on Juan’s big sofa couch…

Towards end of the night, we had our gift exchange session… we got a wrist cushion and hand moisturer.. going to keep them for our new hse…

Part 2 : Ling’s Hse
We went to Ling’s Hse on X’mas day itself… Ordered in pizza hut for lunch..

We did some catching up among the 4 gals over a game of mahjong… Actually most of the catching up is abt Ah Xia cos she just came back from US… shared some of the experience of booking a banquet, wedding preparation tips and house searching… The 3 hubbies entertained themselves over some uncle talks and boring football games.. ha ha ha… Typical uncle pattern..

We ended the party with mahjong only played until南风 cause I need to rush to another place for a dinner date.. In the end, I won a small margin… ke ke ke… only S$1….. we also had a small gift exchange session.. there are only 7 of us that day, but yet on our 1st pick of the numbers, we manage to get presents of another person (not our own wives or hubbies too)… isn’t the day great… got ourselves some shower gel and a box of chocolate biscuits from Marks & Spencer.. Looking forward to our next mahjong session with them =P

Wedding Bells @ Shangri La

Attended my colleague’s Pat’s wedding at Shangri La recently.. This is the 1st time I attended a wedding dinner at Shangri La… the place was posh… Big ballroom, high ceiling and no pillar to block the way…

There is quite a number of 1st time during that wedding for me…

~ Pat and her hubby has this drawn portrait of themselves…. look like the real thingy…
~ I got a wedding bell for the dinner and the guy sitting beside me got a pair of bears.. 1st time I saw 2 different wedding gifts.. wanna to take the wedding bears oso but in the end, gave the bears to a colleague’s baby girl sitting at same table…
~ There is a live band .. the singer sang all the Chinese oldies.. she had a very nice voice
~ 1st time cod fish is served as part of the banquet.. tasted very nice, just like the one I had at Grand Shanghai.. yummy yummy..

The night ended well .. at least I’m full… May Pat and her hubby have a blissful life always …

X’mas Dinner @ Vienna

My department x’mas dinner was on 14th Dec… it was super early this year cos some of the colleagues would be away for holiday.. Mr Sunshine would be in HongKong and Mabel would be inTaiwan… wanna to include them for the party..

To make sure everyone attend, we even did up a calendar to fix the date.. there was also an unspoken motive behind this date.. Lina bday is on 16th.. we wanted to throw a celebration for her, yet wanna it to be a surprise.. so we decided to make it look like a x’mas celebration… cum bday celebration.. We went to Vienna International Seafood and Teppanyaki Buffet Restaurant at United Square.. the food selection as well as the quality was good..

Food selection include : -
Chinese food - Satay, dim sum, black pepper crab, Black Pepper/ Spicy Crabs, Tim Sum, Oats Prawn, Vegetables, Tofu, Tim Sum, Sharksfin Soup, Buddha Jumps Over The Wall, Herbal soup, etc etc etc

Western delights - Oysters, Crabs, Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Salad, Ham, Roast Beef, etc.

Japanese - Sashimi, Cold Noodles, Sushi, etc

Teppanyaki - Spaghetti, Shisamo, Salmon, Dory, Beef, Lamb, Chicken, etc.

Desserts & Fruits - American Cheese Cake, Blackforest Cake, Mango Passion, Tiramisu, Fudge, etc etc etc

Had really fun time while eating… After dinner, we had our cake cutting session… bought a chocolate log cake from Chocz… the staff there super blur.. when I called and placed order, I left my name there as a booking reference.. the staff wrote my name into the cake.. luckily is only a pc sugar icing and can be removed… then when my colleague collected on behalf, she wanted to make payment but the staff declined, claiming that payment had been made by me when I booked… Ermm, that din happen, so we got a complimentary cake…

After the makan session, we had lots of fun taking pics at the function and with the x’mas trees.. we are like kids.. but it’s worth all the fun and smiles…

Yummy ... Food... Yummy

Highligh of the night... Tube Juices... Yum Seng

3rd Day In Bangkok…

Last full day in Bangkok for us.. Our flight is at 9am in the morning, so had to complete all our shopping by this 3rd day..

The events of shopping the last 2 days kicked in on this third day.. our legs almost going to give way…plus my legs and calves started to ache due to last night foot massage… think the gals exerted too much strength of my poor legs.. in the end, we decided to take it slowly… since we had already bought most of the things we wanna…

The day started a little later than usual cos we are not gg to the market anymore.. and shopping centre doesn’t open till this late.. that morning, we went to Platinum mall.. it is a wholesale market.. as it is relatively near to our hotel, we took a stroll down the streets.. weather was ok for us in Bangkok… so the stroll was quite comfortable..

I muz give it in to Bangkok for the shopping that they offer.. after 2 levels of the shopping centre that we concurred, we gave in to our stomach.. we are hungry from all those walk… went to tried their food court.. nothing really “tempt” us that day… dear had his big bowl of shark fin soup… I tried on the Thai crepe… we also tried the Thai noodles.. but dear dun like it becos of the funny taste that it has..but lunch was quite satisfying.. at least at that point of time…

Left after we bought all the things we wanted.. shops kept repeating itself, so after a few storey.. nothing interest us anymore…

Decided to explore Siam Paragon… din do to the atas area… instead, we shopped in Paragon departmental store instead…Dear and I actually loved the place… how we wish we have super power and strength to carry lots of things back… but due to strength and space constraint… there is lots of things I can only see but cannot buy… ke ke ke…

Collected dear suit that night.. there is little hipcup once in a while.. but in the end, things turned out very well.. the suit fitted dear perfectly.. the next time we visit Bangkok.. I’m gg to make a suit for myself.. =P
The whole day ended with our usual routine… a 2 hour full body massage.. loved full body massage than foot massage.. we are going to miss the massgae when we go back

2nd Night In Bangkok…

Decided to explore Siam Center and Siam Discovery to look for dinner outlet… Siam Centre and Discovery proved to be a good shopping outlet… enjoyed our walk there.. settled for a Japanese Restaurant there.. Zen Japanese Restaurant… Tried out this dish that the waitress recommended… Shabu Shabu… very nice.. it’s like mini steamboat… yummy yummy..

Lots of pple asked why we tried Japanese food in Thailand… this was recommended by my colleague.. she mentioned that Thailand has one of the world largest no of Japanese expatriates.. so the standard of the Jap food there is very, very high.. after such high profiling given, how could we not try the food…

After shopping @ Siam areas, we went back to MBB for another round of shopping.. main intention is actually to go for dear’s fitting of the suit.. we also grabbed the chance to went to a local product shop to buy some local products for our families and friends… the food were well received by all after we came back…

Came upon this shop in MBK.. called themselves Paper Plus… they sell all sort of greeting cards…. If there is anyone of you living area near Bishan, there is a small booth at the top level selling paper cards.. the things they sold is very, very similar.. But price wise is a huge difference.. The one sold in Singapore is abt 10 pcs of cards @ S$2 while those that I bought in MBK only costs 25 pcs @ THB19.. which is only approx S$0.90…
Look at the differences.. Now whenever I’m gg Bangkok, I’ll surely visit that shop… my colleagues too =P

The night ended with, as usual, a massage session.. decided to explore the left streets of our hotel area.. Random went into a small massage parlor.. the massages were expensive… we did the 1 hour Thai foot massage which cost abt THB200 (approx S$9…) super cheap, right… I threw in a manicure session while having the massage.. Manicure cost abt THB150 (Approx S$6…) super cheap.. but the price is really link with quality of service…

As space is a constraint, the shop attendant made me stretch out my hands to the side way to do the manicure.. my hands became super aching.. half way through the trimming of my nails, she cut into my flesh… OUCH OUCH OUCH.. that hurt… she din even say sorry…after the trimming, she even asked me if I liked to leave my nails like that or would prefer a coating of color… thought it was funny of her to ask that question… of course, manicure comes with color coating wat…Little did I know why she asked…the color that the Thais prefer simply cannot make it.. too bright and too flashy.. if I had known the kind of color they used, I would have choose the 1st option given to me… I let the color stayed on my nails for 2 more days…on the day I reached S’pore, I removed it before stepping out of the house..

Went back to our hotel room after that.. called room service for some food… then sweet dreams to all… getting ready for our final full day in Bangkok… =P

2nd Day In Bangkok… Part 2

Proceed to other shopping malls where there are air-con for lunch… can’t stand the heat anymore… Decided to take the sky train and go to the furthest shopping area away from our hotel.. went to Bangkok’s orchard area…

“Orchard Road”….
No wonder pple called it mini orchard road… all the big hotels are there… Grand Hyatt, Marriot.. Holiday Inn... Hotel Intercontinental… etc etc etc.. the shopping centres like are also very “atas” one… most of the boutiques inside carry big brands like LV, Cartier, Channel… etc etc… when we went inside with our t-short and Bermuda and slippers, no wonder the security gurard stopped us to check our bags..
Went to Central Chidlom for lunch… another higher end shopping centre.. something like our paragon.. We checked out the information counter for location of restaurant.. Was told that a certain floor had the most variety of food choices… luckily heeded dear’s advice to ask.. the recommendation was cool…. found Food Loft at that level… very similar to Marche concept…ordering and billing is exact scenarios of Marche…

But we loved this place much, much better than Marche.. here’s the reasons : -

Ambience…
That was good.. the restaurant was at the top level with glass window by the side. so we’ll be enjoying the view while we are eating.. so unlike Marche where u only get to see walls…. So dark and no nice view..

Yummy yummy food…
Food varieties was high… Marche only served that few dishes but Food Loft has more.. it has different food corner, like Japanese, Chinese, Thai, French etc etc etc… I tried the Italian noodles… dear had a bowl of fish maw soup..then we had dessert… wow wow wow… the food fantastic… we were all thumbs up, hands up and legs up for the food… we were simply in heaven, man…

After a fulfilled lunch, we roamed abt the place for more shopping area.. came upon the 4 faced Buddha.. din really plan to visit the shrine and we didn’t even know it was there…
We were quite happy when we saw it.. that was the rebuild statue after the original one got “hacked up” by some mad guy…. We decided to do some prayer there… hope us, plus all our families and friends would be healthy and happy always… =P

Left the area after some time…. Proceeded to Siam area… went to Siam Square.. that’s like Taipei Xi Men Ding.. lots of small small shops for us to shop in… not very crowded, so enjoyable to just strolled along the street…bought some small accessories there… nice and eventful…. Spotted an A&W there… missed it so much when they pulled out of Singapore… missed the ice cream waffle, the root beer float and the curly fries…. Decided to recapture some old memories there.. so had a light before dinner snack there… indulge ourselves to a big mug of root beer float and a packet of curly fries… yummy yummy….

Oh gush… got so much to write abt….the trip was so much fun with eating and massaging… Guess that’s all for 2nd half of day 2… 2nd night in Bangkok coming up soon…. =P

2nd Day In Bangkok… Part 1

2nd day in Bangkok, we woke up ard 8am to have breakfast at the hotel.. breakfast was decent.. Collected our complimentary sky train pass on our way back to our room.. woke up early because we intended to visit Chatuchak Weekend Market.. Read from magazines and online forum that morning is the best time to visit due to smaller crowd and cooler weather..

Reached the market abt 10plus.. sky train was very accessible.. think it’s only abt 8 stops.. lead us right to the market.. When we reached the place, we almost breathless… guessed too many read the forum.. the place was crowded… we decided to just go by instinct on the direction… as usual, soon we lost our way… but it was a nice experience.. after about half an hour around the market. I began sweating like hell.. I’m someone who doesn’t sweat easily and I could stay inside the room with no fan or air-con on and the window closed… yet the trip to the market made be sweat… got to raise my white flag.. dear was happily enjoying the sight of me sweating away…

Didn’t really enjoy the shopping at the market.. things not really that cheap.. and it’s hot.. its’ crowded….oh god, I missed my air-con…stayed there for the morning, then we advanced somewhere else for lunch….

Our shopping prizes from Chatuchak Market ……
- beach shorts for me and brother
- pocket mirror… ***
- tube top for my power suit.. it’s damn cheap there…. 3 for approx S$4…
- some souvenirs for my sister and for our display cabinet in our new home…

*** p/s : Dear is the most relieved one when I bought this.. hands up, legs up to support my purchase…. the one that in brought from Hong Kong in 2004 broke… had been pestering dear to get me an exact duplicate.. now I have this, no need the Hong Kong one… that’s why.. ke ke ke

Saw lots of guys.. or shld I say girls in the market with make up on… oh man, that’s gross.. we even spotted 2 of them sharing a small stool, with one behind another… yucks… that’s frightening.. dear got so turned off… ha ha ha… guessed that is the culture of the Thais… we experienced it once in Phuket, now it’s in the capital city….not our cup of tea though, so still not used to it….

That’s all for 1st half of day 2… 2nd half coming up soon…. =P

1st Day In Bangkok

After checking in, unpacking our luggage and calling our parents to tell them that we reached safely in Bangkok, it was already closed to dinner time…. Decided to walk to Mah Boon Krong (MBK) for dinner… yap, our hotel is just located within minutes of walk from MBK.. Isn’t that wonderful? =P

We wandered ard the shopping centre for a while, looking for “delicious” food.. then we stumped upon this Chinese restaurant called 香味.. the food photos displayed outside the restaurant really looked tempting, so we decided to give it a try.. upon stepping into the restaurant, dear found his “feel”.. ha ha ha.. that’s because the restaurant is playing canto songs.. how can my dear not be uncle.. really dun know how to dispute that =P

Our dinner….
We ordered har gow, fried pineapple rice with ham, bbq pork and egg, fried ee fu noodle with ham, stirred fried vege with oyster sauce, fish maw soup, glutinous dumpling in ginger soup, watermelon shake and coffee… that’s hell lots of things… but not to worry, in Thailand, food serving is very small… so each dish (other than the main one) will only take 2 to 4 mouthful… Only got good things to say abt the food… YUMMY ….We left the place, feeling happy and satisfied.. what a good way to start a shopping trip =P

By the time we done for dinner, it appeared to be like 7plus… decided to make full use of the time, so did some minor shopping at MBK.. MBK was huge.. din even finished all the storey… But made some good purchases…

Our shopping prizes from MBK during 1st night……
- a pair of sunglasses for dear …
- a wallet and key pouch for our parents
- tailor made full suit for dear (inclusive of jacket, pants, shirt and a tie)..

Dear was very satisfied with his suit.. The guy, Krish took his measurement that night.. we went back for fitting the next day ard 9pm.. and on Sunday, dear got his suit… looked very nice on him… Spent abt S$300 on the suit… though my colleague said it was a little ex but we were happy with the purchases.. Back at home, making of a full suit with Eric would cost a bomb.. a pair of pants alone costs S$120.. one shirt easily costs S$100…so what do you think the price of the jacket would be like? I’ll leave that to your imagination… in anyway, dear is looking for quality.. so hopefully the extra $$that we spent for is worth the quality.. we loved the services and workmanship of that shop.. looking forward to visit the place to make a suit for me the next time we visit…

Our massage….
Ended the night with the grand finale… a 2-hour full body Thai massage.. the massage is really cheap.. 2-hour massage only costs THB380 (approx S$17).. where to find that in Singapore… Though the place looked quite rundown, service was extremely good… we enjoyed ourselves and the massaging really relaxed our leg muscles.. we are so happy that we tipped the girls… they were so happy when they received it.. to us, it was only about S$4 each per tip, per person… but you can see that they were happy.. they even asked us to go back the next day…. After the massage, we were looking forward to more shopping the next day..

Started to love Bangkok...

Bangkok Update…1st Cut…

Our Flight………
Our plane took off from Singapore about 12.35pm. We took Jet Star because it was much cheaper. However, suddenly felt that the seat are so small, the sitting position very weird for sleeping and that there are no entertainment system, which means no CSI….. oh no, I’m beginning to get use to SQ flight.. started to “despise” budget airline already.. not a good sign…. =P

The Airport………
Arrived at Bangkok ard 2 plus.. that was a new airport just opened couple of years ago.. very clean and well maintained.. so much better than the airport at Paris.. but still incomparable to our Singapore Changi Airport.. Can’t remember how the old airport look like but we are very satisfied with this current one…

Airport Transfer………
Took a public cab to our Hotel.. almost got “conned” by the private taxi driver to took a limousine cab.. cost THB900 (approx S$39).. But luckily I did my homework.. chose a public cab instead and it only cost us THB400.. better save the $$ for more shopping…

Asia Hotel………
We stayed in Asia Hotel.. Building was a bit run down.. but services was good… room was well equipped.. so nothing to complain abt.. location was also fantastic.. right beside one of the skytrain station.. very accessible to wkend market as well as major shopping centre… we can even walked to Platinum Mall.. one of the wholesale shopping mall… And there are many massage shops ard the hotel, so we are free to take our pick… As I was airline staff, I was entitled to crew rate @ THB1,900 (approx S$82) per night, inclusive of breakfast… To top it up, we got 2 free sky train passes worth THB100 each… food and services were all discounted…

Only thing I had to comment is their staff’s work efficiency… Booked my room via the internet… 1st time they confirmed my booking, the room type was wrong.. gave me a superior room for 3 when I asked for a deluxe room for 2.. 2nd time they confirmed my booking, I thought all was well until I checked in…

Almost got a heart attack when we were checking in.... the recep told us they could not locate my name in their booking system.. after some check, they found out that my booking was under the wrong month.. shld be in December but they booked it under November… almost fainted on spot.. luckily the hotel had lots of rooms, abt 650.. so still have room for us… I was quite upset initially.. I even showed the staff my email booking and my credit card payment instruction form.. All indicated that stay duration was in December… Guess I’m also in the wrong as I din check the confirmation slip properly.. Muz look out for this kind of details when traveling next time…

That’s all for an initial update…look out for more updates on daily activities =P

WenQing Wedding @ Orchard Hotel

Attended WQ’s wedding on Monday night @ Orchard Hotel.. WQ was dear uni frenzs and he was one of the brothers cum helper for dear at our wedding…

Finally, heard the wedding bells for him.. still remember the 1st time I met him.. I was 19 years old then.. he assured me that he was a good guy and that if I had any girlfriends who were single then, I could do a recommendation.. he even added that he having no girlfriend is because my dear is always with him.. (stealing all the lime light, I supposed)..

Been to Orchard Hotel once for my ex company dinner & dance.. din have a very good memory of that hotel cos of the poor service that D&D night.. surprising things turned out quite well.. maybe it’s the wedding deco.. I loved the ball room.. it’s huge and squarish.. with high ceiling.. and there is no pillars popping out, blocking the views.. the ballroom was splendid. The service was ok.. waitresses all very Chinese speaking.. maybe it’s a match cos WQ also very Chinese speaking kind. Even their march in song and the montage song are Chinese songs.. so you can imagine.. Projector screwed up a bit. No music came out so had to restart the thing 3 times.. But on the whole, wonderful night for the groom & the bride.. Toast to them..

Wanted to share with all of you, especially the brides-to-be and all 姐妹-to-be this impt information… the tactics that was used on WQ when he went to fetch is bride… the groom was made to wear a night gown over his suit and the rest of the brothers in bikini… then the brothers had to put on lipstick and kissed the groom… then all the guys were asked to do sit up.. the pics were real funny… this din end there.. during the dinner, the hosts and 姐妹 played a game.. groom is blindfolded and asked to touch a series of girls.. then he had to identify which girl is his wife.. tough one..he got the wrong “wife” for the 1st attempt cos he was misled by the ring on the girl’s finger.. got punished.. made to sing a love song to the wife… 2nd attempt, he got right but this time with the help of the wife.. (she whisper to him when she was close..) if not for her, I think there will be any punishment waiting for him..

Was real happy for the newly wed… was entertained by the montage and the “game” during the dinner… next wedding on line would be end Dec.. one for my colleague and another for dear colleague.. wedding bells really ringing high in the air now..

HEROS

Dear and I are onto this new series… it’s called HEROS

Synopsis : After a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, seemingly calling forth a multitude of everyday men and women with special powers, Dr. Mohinder Suresh, a genetics professor from India, continues to champion his father's theory that there are people with extraordinary abilities living among us. His mission is to find them and study them...

Here are some of the interesting characters from HEROS that appeared from Espi 1 to 15..

Claire Bennet - a high school cheerleader.. she has the power of self healing.. something like wolverine in x-men but she doesn't have the claws..

Niki Sanders - a Las Vegas single mother with astonishing strength - and a dangerous, amoral mirror image (Jessica Sanders).. not sure if that is split personality.. but Jessica definitely is strong.. so strong that she could break handcuffs used to hold elephant down.. And then there is her son Micah who can interact with electronic machinery through touch. He can easily get cash out from ATM machine.. Also there's the father DL.. he can go through wall.. there is a character like this in x-men but forgotten her name...

Matt Parkman - A police detective from Los Angeles. He can to hear the thoughts of others. That's dangerous.. and i won't want him near me to hear my thoughts..

Hiro Nakamura's - A rich man son from Japan.. and our fav character too.. he has the ability to pierce the space-time continuum and manipulate time. Watching him embark on his wild adventures with his best friend Ando Masahashi is real fun... his expression.. his behaviour.. it's lightening..

Nathan Petrelli - a congressional hopeful with the ability to fly.. His brother brother Peter, a nurse is also gifted.. he has the ability to absorb the powers of others, you know a copy and paste thingy.. Nathan has a daughter and you will never believe it.. that's Claire... wondering why the difference in surname.. Claire was adopted since young.. and Nathan had always thought Claire was dead.. little does he knows that she has healing power.. Claire's mother.. Meredith has power too.. she can control fire.. that's so cool..

There is also Sylar, a manipulative serial killer dedicated to violently collecting the extraordinary talents of special people.. how he does that.. by cutting up pple's brain.. that's gross man..

There are also other gifted out there.. there's charlie who has great memory.. brian who has the ability to control things from distance.. the painter who can paint future.. the Haitien man who can cause one to have memory loss.. Zane who can melt things down to the atom stage.. one car mechanic who can hear voices from far far away..one who is invisible.. one who can send out radioactive waves.. another who can access internet w/o being online... wow.. there are so many of themm

These are also new characters who have not appear yet.. (got them off from the internet)... A young woman named Maya Herrera and her twin brother, plagued by her threatening ability, attempt to make the dangerous crossing to the United States in search of help. And Monica Dawson, another young woman with newfound special abilities, would give up everything to help the people around her. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world...

Currently, most hated statement from the show... To be continued.. from this, i'm sure you can tell how much we liked the show... will update you more on HEROs...

Dinner @ SCCCI

Went for one of the worst sit down dinner I ever had in my life.. Daddy and his friends had this dinner at Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commence and Industry to commemorate the xxth years it was established (opps, forgotten abt the year.. obviously I wasn’t too interested). Needed pple to fill out the empty seats.. so as usual, the good daughter and son-in-law rise to the occasion and went with them to the dinner.. made the worst decision ever…

Hmm.. maybe I talked abt the good thing 1st.. the place itself was astonishing.. never been inside SCCCI before.. glad to take a peek inside.. it was magnificent with all the old wordings and old photos… Really loved the “old” feeling that the place has.. hmm.. think that is the only gd thing I had to say abt that night..

Now, the bad things.. the dinner came with a big stage + live performance by some “白狗骨” band .. dun ask me what that is.. I dun know.. and during the live performance by that band, there are several singers (which I had never heard of) who performed.. that make the dinner turned from bad to worse.. bad singing + skimpy & ugly costume + bad figure….. oh my god… food was not even nice too…

After a few dishes, dear and I went to the toilets.. after that we sneaked out.. ke ke ke.. Planned to go for some fast food but none was opened… sigh.. it was only 10 plus but most shops at city hall were already closed

We went back to the dinner just in time for its last dish.. the dessert.. after a bad night + empty stomach.. dear and I went home to have cup noodle + marble cake and we watched our favorite series.. HEROS now.. what a night…

Dinner @ Hilton Hotel

Went to Hilton Hotel for dinner over the weekend… Utilized our gift voucher given to us by Hilton because we held our wedding there 1 year ago…

Thought it would be the traditional kind of international buffet.. but I was wrong.. Hilton had this themed buffet dinner where by the dinner theme would differ on a daily basis… Saturday was the Japanese deluxe night.. it was the 2nd most expensive theme @ S$48+++ wow… we would never had spent that amt of money if we are to dine on our own…

The most expensive theme was the Wagyu beef theme which is on Thursday night @ S$58+++… Got this off from the internet …. “Wagyu is a breed of cattle naturally predisposed to produce beef that is densely marbled. In fact, Wagyu beef surpasses USDA marbling standards for prime-grade beef. Often referred to as the “foie gras of beef,” Wagyu has an exquisitely tender texture and incomparable, luxurious taste.” Though expensive, we felt lucky not to have chosen this day.. otherwise we would have nothing to eat..

Monday was the Herbs and spice night.. Dear liked that but too bad, we din know abt the theme dinner, else we would have chosen that.. One of the night is the Japanese Night (w/o the deluxe), the other is the Thai food night and one is the seafood night… can’t really remember the rest.

Me & dear are not great fans of Japanese food and we dun really take raw food too.. so din really fancy the dinner a lot.. But must really compliment the food.. they are nice indeed.. esp the fish soup that we had… we are really full though cos we took all the rice, noodle soup and sushi.. I ate lots of cake too… yummy yummy…

In general…we had a wonderful evening that night =P

Enchanted Night

Caught the movie “Enchanted” with my colleagues and sister (she stood in for one colleague who fell sick) during one of the weekday night…

It’s a Walt Disney production… The show was funny…mix of spoofs of different fairy tales…

This is how the story goes… Prince has this step mother who is Queen.. Queen wanna be Queen forever, so is trying ways to prevent Prince from meting the Special Gal.. Prevention plan failed and Prince met Special Gal.. On the day of the wedding, Queen turned herself to a granny and pushed Special Gal off the wishing well… Special Gal came to New York… Special Gal met Special Guy in New York.. Special Guy took care of her and eventually fell in love with her…a very fairy tale story with the “Happily Ever After” ending… quite a romantic show…

The female lead, aka Special gal held this belief throughout the show.. if you love someone, you must show it.. that’s how that someone know you love him…. This statement is so, so true.. my colleague even downloaded the songs as ring tone… I have it in my phone.. so now considering if I wanna use it as my ring tone =P

Looking forward to our next outing on 14 dec.. we’re having this special x’mas dinner cum gift exchange session… to top it up, there is something else going on too.. will let you know in due time =P

Our New House

Signed the contract for our new house in 2004… initial committed date to give us the keys were end 2009… apparently, think the keys would come earlier…

Drove past the construction site last weekend.. The building are up and the painting are done… even the block no are put up.. read the sign put up by the contractor at the site.. Handing over date to HDB is 07 Dec 2007.. ohhh… so excited, that would mean we’ll be collecting our keys soon… now, every day when I opened the letter box, I would be looking forward for a letter from HDB… I’m silly, right,.. but that kind of excitement and anticipation… hmm, dun know how to put it in words…

Am looking around for interior designers… My colleague who is getting the same area as mine had already booked her ID… I’m not so KS… so still looking ard for the perfect company to do up my perfect dream home…

I’m also using various software to do a mock up of the renovation and furnishing that I intend to have.. though tedious and time consuming… I enjoyed it quite well… it’s just like preparing for the wedding… hee hee hee…

Now, I’ll bring along my new house’s floor plan with me wherever I go… looking forward to just hopping by any reno company to ask for quotation.. of course, I had already done my homework.. so already had an idea of what we wanted… Even planned to make use of the upcoming trip to Bangkok to do some “small” furniture or display items shopping… ke ke ke..

So, HDB letter, when will you be arriving??? Tomorrow?

1st Year Anniversary….

Our new hse haven come yet, so no luck to enjoy this special day all on our own… But I am just grateful that dear is there to spend the day with me…Will make this day, next year a more memorable one…

We had dinner at Asian Kitchen, one of my favorite eateries… and after that, had this great session at Kenko Massage.. the after feeling was “SHIOK”… can’t wait to have more massages in Thailand.. atfer that was a supper session at Jalan Kayu… we are not the romantic kind.. so we just loved spending time together and chit chatting…

Had planned to go to Terminal 3 open house the next day but I was too tired.. din sleep well the night before becos of a mere “near” accident on the road… lucky thing is no one is hurt.. phew… dun wanna talk abt it.. so I’ll just left it as it is.. and oso it was raining very heavily too.. just felt like hiding under my comfortable quilt…

Anyway, we held our wedding last year at Hilton Hotel.. in return, Hilton gave us a gift voucher for buffet for 2 at Checkers Restaurant.. will be going there this Saturday.. looking forward to it =P

Come to think abt it.. there are so many dates for us to celebrate…
14 Feb : Valentine Day
12 Jun : ROM Anniversary
12 Jul : Dating Anniversary
03 Sep : My Birthday
22 Sep : Dear Birthday
25 Nov : Wedding Anniversary

Can’t imagine the no of things our hse will have if there is the gift exchange thingy going on at every impt date, every year… so instead of all those mushy mushy action.. we prefer to have “alone” timing… just imagine, the 2 of us, walking hands in hands and chatting away.. isn’t this lovely…

Looking forward to the next special date…

A Special Date... 25 November …

Time passed so quickly… I still remember that last year this time, I was so ,so busy…

Bad night behind the wheels….

I was on my way to pick dear up from his RT.. not sure wat happen that day, but wasn’t feeling too good to be behind the wheels.. Alas, things really din turn out good in the end..

Was coming down from the multi-storey car park.. Thought I checked my blind spot area but I still failed to see an on-coming car moving up the multi storey car park.. I was shaken up.. Supposed to step at the brake in this scenario but instead I stepped on the accelerator.. luckily I was “soft” by nature when stepping on the steps… Another lucky thing is that the oncoming car driver braked for me…Otherwise, think we might have collided… that guy oso quite gentlemen… din scold me.. stare at me or point middle finger at me.. phew… I admit, it was totally my fault.. muz look out for blind spt more carefully next time…

Bad things behind the wheels din just stopped there.. was up on TPE to Bedok camp.. was supposed to exit at Exit XXX (dun remember the nos).. I was on the most right lane.. there was a taxi behind me, abt 2 car space away.. there was no car in front of me.. To my left side, there are oso no car directly beside me… but there are 2 cars to my left lane.. one on par with the taxi behind me and the other abt 4 car space in front of the taxi…

There are a lot of space for me to filter left, so I signaled and prepared to cut lane.. immediately after signaling, the taxi on the left lane sped up and drove to my side… I was thinking.. “ok, let him passed 1st, I’ll only filter behind him”.. so, I slowed dowm… But that stupid taxi refused to accelerate.. he oso went ahead to slow down… he was practically traveling side by side with me.. this went on for some distance.. I accelerated, he accelerated,.. I slowed down, he slowed down… I think he’s either trying to be funny or he’s looking down at female driver…

I got pissed off and irritated.. I turned off my left signal light and I sped up.. Going at abt 110km/h, I overtook the sedan that was abt 3 to 4 car spaces in front of that taxi.. then I on my signal light to filter.. that sedan, saw my signal, slowed down to let me passed… that taxi could do nothing becos that sedan is in front of him, blocking his lane… finally, I exited.. that taxi went straight… it was a blue cab, by the way…

The 1st incident left me shaken.. the 2nd left me fuming mad.. wat’s wrong with me on the road last night… Not a happy gal anymore… Maybe I shld practice more driving next time.. things like that shldn’t make me feel sad.. I muz be happy again =P

Sumo Baby...

My finance colleague just gave last Monday to her 3rd kid.. the kid arrived, weighing 4.02kg.. that's a heavy baby.. But this baby weighs the lightest among her 3 kids.. the 1st one, who weighs the heaviest, clocked a total of 4.9kg....

My colleague and her hubby are not that big size but they sure have "sumo" babies... here's a preview of the baby...

Shop Till Drop

Went shopping with my mum and sis on Sunday… almost dropped dead at the end of the day.. 1st, we went to Fox warehouse sale… so disappointing… the clothes are in a mess and the crowd is mostly made up of “tiongs”….. we went in one round, then escaped to kovan.. heartland mall….

At heartland mall, we shopped further at the pasar malam.. it was meant to be fund raising activity for Paya Lebar CC.. things sold are quite interesting.. saw a jewellery holder.. if my house is coming anytime soon, I’ll surely have bought it.. =(

After heartland mall, we had lunch at the hawker centre beside the mall… that was the only time I sat down and rest.. after that was a total nightmare.. we went to Bugis and the shopping seem never ending… even if buying a drink from Mac meant buy and drink while we shop.. oh my god…it’s was a 1pm to 6pm shopping trip for me… knees almost really gave way…

I’m so used to dear’s way of shopping… Shop for an hour and have tea.. then continue shopping for another hour and then have dinner… my stamina for shopping dropped, all tks to dear… oh dear, what is going to happen to my Bangkok trip…

Dun think my stamina will recover so fast.. so I guessed I haved to do a lot of homework before we go.. Bangkok, here I come… Must conquer you this time round.. ke ke ke.. but dear, dun worry, I’ll give you plenty of food and massage too =P… ke ke ke

Wedding Bells are ringing…

Wow wow wow… couple of years ago, it was dear’s frenzs who are getting married one by one.. the red bomb kept coming and coming… that time, dear was abt 27 to 29 years old… marriage time… now it’s my circles of friends.. who is turning 27 next year…. guess it is the time for my frenzs to settle down…

Here’s a glance of the upcoming weddings… So happy… So many pretty brides-to-be….

Ah Ka Last Maiden Birthday Party

Went to Ah Ka’s place on Friday night… It was her last maiden birthday before her wedding next April, so her parents planned this birthday party for her..

It wasn’t really a party cos those who attended were her few closer frenzs at KPMG… 1 fremz from PWC.. her secondary sch frenzs and few of her uni frenzs… plus her cousin and her husband to be… it was more like a cozy get together session…

Visited ah ka place once.. many many years ago when I was in KP… almost lost our way there that night, if not for the wonderful map prepared by Ah Ka’s daddy… it was detailed enough that we found the place without sweat…

At the party, dear met his secondary sch frenz… the world is so small.. in fact, Singapore is so small… that guy turned out to be ah ka’s frenz’s husband.. ha ha ha.. real small world.. we left the 2 guys to entertain themselves + catching up while me and my ex-KP colleagues did our own catching up…

It was a wonderful night spent with all the chit chatting and laughter… looking forward to ah ka’s wedding in Apr next year =P

Supper @ Xin Wang

Last night, we met up with our best couple pals and their dear baby daughter for supper at Xin Wang. It was always a pleasure meeting them and watching little Jovin’s laugh and giggle… so sweet and happy…

Jovin has never failed to make dear and me laughed… Dear fed her some half boiled eggs.. and she seems to like it.. her face became “花猫脸” after all the eating… our couple pals are lucky parents to have Jovin as part of the family…. As I have my camera with me, I managed to take some pics of Jovin… Upon seeing the camer, she would have the victory hand signs.. so adorable… must get her to smile when the camera goes off and not after the flash went by….

We had a suaning session during the supper too.. target was of course my dear.. not becos of something he did but becos of something he did not.. but someone else did… it was quite funny… poor dear.. HA HA HA…. Even ur own brother deserted you…. Promised dear not to write it down on the blog.. so this will just be the 不能说的秘密 between the four of us…. I think the suaning won’t stop anytime soon… so dear, buck up and prepare to brace it through… HA HA HA

There are some x-mas deco at Kovan Heartland Mall ard.. Jovin was excited about it.. maybe becos of the lighting… We took some nice pictures with the trees… looking forward to x-mas day… and of course the happy gift sharing feeling that goes with it… Looking forward to our next link up too =P

Baby shower

Yesterday, we attended the baby shower of Jazz’ little boy.. the baby is exactly one mth old… he is very cute, with big, clear eyes…. One mth ago, the baby name is still unknown.. so we called him Mini Ho…. But this time round, the baby has got his name… He is called Will Ho…. Chinese name is He2 Qi3 Jun4… not sure what is the exact chinese character, so better dun put any.. just the han yu pin yin will do….

We were among the 1st few to arrive, and the baby just woken up from his beauty sleep… Manage to caught him on camera with his big eyes… dear commented that the baby eyes resembled that of the daddy…. During the event, the baby became drowsy and he almost slept throughout… got a pic of him drooling off too.. what a cute baby he is…

A Different Dinner… Part 2….

Second part of the event is, of course food… Thought the dinner would be like some Chinese wedding dinner and you won’t be full even after the whole event.. This is totally untrue for that night…By the time we left the restaurant, dear and I were so full and satisfied… Let me show you the menu

Dish 1 is sharks fin… Please stop thinking about those shark fin with crab meat inside. This is totally different. You can literally see the fins. Yes, complete fins… I usually don’t take shark fins during wedding dinner but this bowl.. I finished the whole thing.. hey, it’s real sharks fin…. Not crab meat..

Dish 2 is roasted beijing duck.. this is one of the best dish also.. the serving is personal but huge.. we almost don’t have enough of it… Dish 3 is deep fried cod fish… yummy yummy.. I don’t usually go for steamed fish and even if I do, I’ll take very little cos I’m scared of the fish bone…(alright, I must admit that I’m picky at food….ke ke ke) but when the cod fish came out, I finished the whole thing.. 1st, I had never seen cod fish been served in this kind of dinner before and the size of the fish served individually is as big as my palm.. must say that the portion is very very generous...

Next dish that was served was the lobster… Never liked prawns and lobster before… especially prawns.. whenever I eat one, I’ll start vomiting becos of the smell.. but this time round, I tried the lobster… it was very fresh and there was no prawn smell at all… though I din finished the whole thing.. but pls applaud for me, for my effort & courage in trying.. 2 of us will share 1 lobster… and the lobster is much bigger than my palm.. so another incident to show the generosity of the host.

Last main dish is the hand made la mian with crab meat… the noodle is very QQ… only one action will speak of the dish… Thumb Up…. Last 2 dishes were the desserts…. One cold one - chilled sago with mango and pomelo and one hot one - souffle egg white balls with red bean… loved them both…

The dinner ended ard 10plus and the finale was a speech by the CEO of Hublot.. very gd speech and we really witnessed his passion for watch making…. A gift from Hublot ended the whole event… It was a cap from them.. The paper bag that the cap was contained in even has its strip made of the same material as the strip of my watch… had to give it all to Hublot…

This is the 1st time that I attended this kind of function.. kinda felt weird yet happy.. dear attended this kind of function before but he was always the host (on behalf of his company) and this time round, he is the guest… I guessed this is another step for us in our life towards another lifestyle….. looking forward to more of this kind of function…

Hublot watches

This is what we saw at the Hublot dinner.... May not be the exact model... but close to it.. dun think that it looked big or very uncle... you will be surprised how nice it looked when you placed it on your wrist =P

A Different Dinner… Part 1….

Received an invitation from Hour Glass to attend a dinner at Grand Shanghai on Wednesday night. The dinner was the joint effort between Hour Glass and Hublot, with the intention to launch a series of new watches in the Big Bang series… So excited as this is the 1st time we got invited to this private launch..

Went Tempus (watch exhibit) a couple of months ago. Though we got personalised invitation card to the event, the event was after all still opened to public. This time round is different. This is a sit down dinner and it is not opened to public.. We even had to RSVP for our attendance…

When we reached Grand Shanghai that night, there was 2 Lamborghini parked outside the restaurant… They were so sexy… wonder if the owners of those 2 beauties are in the restaurant as well…

There are 2 parts to the event that night… The first part is the watch exhibit at one corner of the restaurant. We were viewing the gallery for the newly launched series.. wow.. the watches are also beauties… The more enhanced big bang series plus the new series with diamonds ard the rim… who can stay untouched??

We tried on a couple of the watches and we actually liked one of them.. it’s sort of black in color, with the rim in rose gold.. it’s 41mm big..and inside is chronograph… can’t find any pic on it, so can’t display it for you guys to see.. Beauty is one thing and the fact that the watch is unisex and we can share it.. there is just one factor that stop us from buying.. $$$$ …. That beauty costs abt S$20,000…. That’s so expensive… Plus even if you have tons of $$ to place order, you have to join in the waiting list.. Average waiting time for the watch is 6 months… Hot stuff huh…. We will give it a serious thought about the purchases… and don’t be surprise that the thought will take months and years cos of the seriousness (ha ha ha =P)

Behind the wheels

As usual, on Tuesday night, I went to pick dear up at Bedok camp after his RT.. Took the car, across TPE to Bedok...

Realised that my driving skills are improving, though not yet the best... yesterday, as traffic was gd, I was gg abt 100 to 110km/h on TPE... at some time, i'm even gg at 120km/h.. but heard that there's a lot "eyes" out there catching pple who are speeding, so upon hitting 120km/h, i'll just let go of my accelerator.. dun know why, but i actually liked the feeling of hitting 120km/h.. And the best part is that i dun really feel that the car is gg that fast.. hmm... that's weird...

There was once that I even mentioned to dear that I felt that our small Getz is not picking up speed fast enough... seem like i'm begining to outgrow our car liao... cos our Getz is only at 1.3 litres... But me & dear not really at the stage of changing car yet.. so will still take the Getz out to further polish my driving skills.. Next skill to work on shld be my parking.. I can tell you for sure now, my parking really sucks... will work hard on it.. 加油... 加油... 加油...

This Getz of ours have great signifinace to me and dear... this is our very own 1st car.. din get any loan from our parents to pay the deposit.. and we actually get it at quite a young age.. i'm 24 and dear is merely 28.. (thought we'll only get one when dear reach 30...more earning power mah...) .... and the date we got our car is 12th July.. that's our anniversary date... plus this Getz participated in our wedding... during our outdoor photo shoots, Getz was one of the lead in the picture... can't bear to part with our Getz at the moment...

Our Getz is 2 +++ years old already.... will wait until our hse and the baby wei or baby ting comes before making plan for a new car..... this time round will be a sedan and we plan to convert the car to normal car plate... waiting for that day to come =P

Life is short.. Pls VALUE it...

Yesterday while at work, news of our division ex-VP passed away... it was a sad moment for everyone...

Mr Goh was diagnosed with cancer 2 to 3 years back... doctor said he won't have too much time left given his bad condition.. but he pulled through with the help of his families & frenzs.. his religion and his will power... we all thought his recovery will be a miracle.. but last mth, he has a relaspe.. no symptoms at all... heard from colleagues who visited him said he was in very very bad condition last wk.. hanging on to wait for his son to return from overseas... the son came back on Monday.. and Mr Goh left us on Tues morning.... Though sad, Mr Goh must be happy to have his familes ard him till the very last moment...

The demise of Mr Goh left me thinking... Life is really short... you won't know what will happen to u.. as a strong believer in his religioon, Mr Goh neither smoke nor drink.. even without these bad hibits.. illness still strike him.. sigh...

i always believe that God is fair (though i'm a Buddhist).. he give you something, he will take something away from you too... ... like in those chinese gangster movies, i also believe that those 名言 by those gangster leaders (a.k.a male leads) are true i.e. 出去跑, 总得要还.... and 人在做, 天在看....

since life is so short and unpredictable.. be glad and contended with wat you have... becis of Mr Goh's demise, my colleague decided to extend a holiday trip that she has with her mum to spend more time with her... for me, i will love everyone ard me to the fullest... i'll spend more quality time with them and make share my memories are with them inside, and their with mine inside...

Remember, muz be 知足常乐...

Irresponsible Doctor & Nurses

Supposed to go for my annual medical chk up. I had specially arranged for this morning cos the female doc is only ard on tues and thurs morning... So i reschdueld my work and applied for morning half day..

But when i arrived at the clinic, the nurse said the doc won't be coming in... huh.. wat's that all abt??? the nurses said the doc had immediate errants to run, so she won't be in today.. so wat's is gg to happen to me? the nurses on duty even have the cheeks to say that they are just abt to call me when i walked in... why, they think i'm 3 yrs old kid, easy to bluff....

i'm not angry with the doc for failing to turn up.. but at least, give me a cue... they shld have called me the day before and i could cancelled my leave... waste my leave just like that... hello, i'm not a hse wife who is super free.... they proposed me to take half day again, tom... they think i own the company, is it???

what's wrong with pple in the service industry??

i got so pissed off that i said i'll consider abt the check up again.... they are so so irresponsible.. called dear immediately after i came out of the clinic.. we are going to mention this to the main doc in charge abt this and hope that the doctors & nurses there would change their attitude at work...

Halloween @ Work

My colleagues & I never really celebrated Halloween in my life before... so this yr, we decided to spice things up a little... we decorated our office with poster meant for Halloween... we even hang a ghost on the ceiling...
dear always comment that we got nothing better to do but we simply love this short break from our duties =P

Some colleagues mentioned that the poster is meant to scare off our bosses, so that they won't come near us for numbers or reports... i kinda think the same.. ha ha ha.. aren't we bad employees???

after putting up the posters, the whole bunch of us took turns to take pics with it....making all those funny, ghostly faces....

it's a nice afternoon spent in office....
so so looking forward to x'mas where we can decorate the place again =P

JC Frenzs

Went out with my JC classmates for dinner few sat ago... last seen them during my wedding... long time never catch up already...

feeling was good as we updated each other with our lives and work.....

Was listening to han, talking abt her work and the kids that she has to deal with.. nothing to comment but have to appluade her .... it's a great get together, though turn out was not really high...

looking forward to the next gathering =P

Our Godson

On 10 Oct, we went to KK hospital to visit our newly born godson... He's so adorable.. sleeping quietly in his mummy's arm... He hasn't have a name yet, so we started calling him mini Ho.. cos his daddy's surname is Ho... Mini Ho, borned 10 Oct 2007, am is the precious son of dear's boss, Jazz...

When we reached the ward, it was past visiting hours so we thought we won't have a chance to see the baby. but to our surprise, the baby was sleeping peacefully in Jazz's arms....he really looked like Jazz... when Jazz softly pinched his nose, he would move a little and give us the "don't disturb me lar" look... after which, we don't dare to touch him...

anyway, i don't really dare to touch him... he's so tiny, only the length of Jazz's hand to elbow... i only dare to stroke his tiny face.. he weighed abt 3.465kg... my mum said that's a huge baby cos normal baby shld be abt slightly less than 3 kg or only a bit.... but i looked left and looked right... heh, mini ho isn't big at all... maybe becos all baby are tiny....

well, here's a pic of mini ho....

TURNING 30…..

22nd Sep is my hubby’s 30th birthday… finally hit 三字头, joining the 30s club… Since dear is hit the big 3 this year, we had a very different celebration too…

Not too long ago, we accepted an invitation from Marriot Vacation Club to attend a seminar on their club membership.

The club is charging only a flat fee for the membership. No need for immediate & once off payment. Entitled to interest-free installments for 10 years. Using this membership, we can access all the hotels under Marriot group (including Ritz Carlton). The deal sounds cool & very tempting until we asked how much does the membership costs.. USD35,000 for lifelong membership… That’s a bit too much for us.. given the fact that I have travel rate for hotel stay when I go overseas and that we are just 2 “poor fellow”.. We didn’t want a 10 years debt, so we turned down the offer…

For attending the seminar, we are offered either a S$200 taka vouchers or a 2D1N weekend stay at Ritz Carlton… never stayed at Ritz Carlton before and dear’s bday is coming, so we opted for the latter.. oh my god, that’s a gd choice we made..

We never stepped foot in Ritz Carlton before, so was damned excited.. On Dear’s 30 years old bday, we checked ourselves in at Ritz Carlton.. We’re given a Kallang Bay View… apart from the bridal suite that I stayed in Hiton, this is the best ever room I stayed in, in my whole life… Published rate for this room is at S$600…. Why in my right mind would I stay here in my normal daily life??

The stay was indeed an eye opener.. look at the view, splendid…there is another view.. the Singapore river view.. but that’s is too expensive for us and our voucher didn’t cater for that.. too bad…

I muz mentioned the bathtub with the window… my colleagues say I muz try it with the blinds open but even if u beat me to death, I won’t do it… my blinds are always down.. only I can see the outside (by peeping through the holes) but no one can see the inside…
There are building across the hotel, and though they are distance apart, I can still “see’ pple from the other building, so chances are that they see me are equally high…

Apart from the nice stay on dear’s birthday, we went to have dear’s favorite food.. which is of course uncle food… which is crystal jade xiao long bao…. That night, we also dropped by Kenko for a wonderful body massage.. Thumb up for all the “life style” we are experiencing =P

Looking forward to more lifestyle enjoyment before any babies come the way =P
