As I watched on, I can relate so much with the show and my company …
(1) Arrows shooting through the emails
(2) Don’t ask, just follow grandfather rule
(3) People got smaller balls, as they became management
(4) All management loves to play golf as golf size is the same as their balls
(5) Cost cutting is important in the company yet wan the best quality
Sigh.. Are all public sector or govt-linked company like that? **sigh**
Recently, was watching another TV series.. 宝家卫国…
That was another funny show..
Actually, think only the army part is funny..
There was this scene when the commandos IC shout out the slogon, For Honor and Pride… .
We followed and we got our own slogan too…

Another scene popped out last night… 黄文永 was going through an exercise that just went past and he asked one of his officers to show the exercise map…
黄文永 : “Warrant Lee, pls put up the map”
Warrant Lee (To黄文永) : “Yes, Sir. Map will be up in a minute”
Warrant Lee (To another officer ) : “Sergeant Ho, pls put up the map”
Can you imagine this, they are all in the same room… can’t黄文永 just says “Sergeant Ho, pls put up the map.”… asked my hubby & he said army is like that.. otherwise where got so many job going around… this is called Job Creation… ya, like real =P
Army is also public sector… so similar to my company too… can see so many similarities between the two… that’s why we have such a high staff strength….

NAUGHTY COLLEAGUES
Mabel bday was last Sunday.
Our division held a bday celebration for her at Fish & Co.
You know, Fish & Co has got the bday rap, so Mabel is in for a round of sabotage.
We even requested for the center seats [So that she would be the center of attraction]
We bought her the following:
A big card with lots of stickers on it.
We even pasted one of her sexy, singing pose right in the middle of the card…[Going to make her put it up on her working desk]
A hello kitty cake.. she is not the very girly kind of gal.. so we decided to get her something very girly =P she almost flipped off the chair when she saw that.. she even cut the cake into half, with that fierce look… ha ha ha…
After singing her the bday song, the staff at Fish & Co even made her stood on the chair to blow out the candles.. Hurray, Mabel… well done for being so sporty…
Another’s bday is coming soon, on National day.. we, the naughty colleagues are up to no good again.. Hee Hee Hee…

EAST MEET WEST…
Mum-in-law started visiting a Chinese doc 2 weeks ago.
Things were good… Felt less giddy… Appetite improved…
Person is happier too..
Went to a govt hospital yesterday.
A scheduled appointment referred by Poly Clinic to check on her hand.
Doc asked her what’s her problem.
She mentioned her hand would tremble sometime.
Doctor did no test on her. Yes, no blood test… no x-ray..
And guess what…
Doctor diagnose : Mum got Parkinson disease (PD)
It is a form of 老人吃呆疹, a progressive disorder of the nervous system.
So mum left the hospital with a bag full of medicine just for PD, prescribed by the doctor.
Visited the Chinese doc last night..
She wanted to check if there would be a clash since she taking Chinese medicine now..
Chinese Doc scratched her head.
Even my parents scratched their head.
No sign of any symptoms in her.. so where did this PD comes from…
Chinese doc advised her to go to private hospital for 2nd check up…
But why did the doc at the govt hospital conclude she has PD?
Oh yes, the trembling hand..
Which part of the “sometime” does the doctor not understand, the “some” or the “time”?
Doc did not even bother to ask for the occasion when it’ll tremble.. sigh..
Mum-in-law hand trembling due to her dislocation of her arm last year..
The hand will tremble whenever she uses too much force on the arm..
And he concluded that as PD…
That’s a joke.. I can be a doctor too…Just like that…
Patient No 1 came in…
Me : “What’s wrong with you today?”
Patient No 1 : “I seem like having fever.”
Me : “Hmm, let me check your temperature. Oh, you really are running a fever. No worries. I’ll give you some fever medicine and a MC. That’s all.”
Patient No 1 : “Thanks, doc.”
Patient No 2 came in…
Me : “What’s wrong with you today?”
Patient No 2 : “My hand is trembling.”
Me : “Hmm, trembling hand + old age. Oh, you having Parkinson Disease. No worries. I’ll give you some medicine for that and you rest more. That’s all.”
Patient No 2 : “Thanks, doc.”

CHINA… HUH???
Never had a good impression of China…
It started when me & dear went ShenZhen.
Got conned into buying calligraphy.. then I got scolded for refusing to buy Chinese herbs / medicine for my “sick” hubby [as claimed by the Chinese doc]
Then we met an unreasonable family in taka..
Took our reserved seats for our pals..
And scolded us for taking up seats just to put our bags..
I had always loved the 不到翁displayed in dear’s bank..
Had asked dear to “steal” one for me.. but he never did.. ke ke ke.. dun think he'll get do...
Anyway, 2 china kids took them and start fighting with them in the banking halls..
What can I say… a pair of brats
Was shopping at Paragon.. went to the newly opened Banana Republic
S$400 for a dress.. not a bad design but alas.. the label “Made in China” stood out..
I’m not going to pay S$400 for a dress made in that place..
Daddy, mummy and sis just came back from China
Same incident happened…
Was asked to buy Chinese herbs for soaking of legs.. S$1,000… that’s daylight robbery man..
My mum refused to buy it.. and the Chinese doc used same trick..
“You want your hubby to suffer stroke, is it? Do you care about your husband, anot?”
What can I say?? If there’s other place in the world that I had not visited, there is no way that I’m going to China… I’ll even go back Paris again..

CRIMINAL MINDS
Found a new show on TV.. cool.. Featured a group of FBI, traveling ard the states by private jets to solve weird cases.. Impressed with their logic.. their analysis.. All those criminal body contact, eye signals… how on earth can pple interpret them..
Believed in this a lot.. If you can’t beat them, join them..

WHAT’S WRONG WITH INSURANCE COMPANY.. AGAIN..
Our road tax renewal notice came.. Need a insurance certificate to renew the tax.. but that cert never came until…
I called insurance company 1 mth before expiry date…
They promised to send out the doc asap.. Never received them.
Called again.. as usual.. They send out but I never received
Called again.. 3rd time.. They send out but I never received
I got angry.. Changed my insurance agent..
Few days before the expiry date.. the old policy came.. What a joke…

WHAT’S WRONG WITH BANKS..
Found a fraudulent amt on our credit bill after coming back from Europe..
Weird, never spent the amt so we disputed.. Bank responded, saying that there’s a signature found of the sales advice.. We scratched our head and could not reconcile the facts.. So we asked for a copy of the advice..
Finding : Signatory on the advice not equal to Bank record signatory
Bank Response : We are sorry to inform you… we can’t do anything.. according to regulation, if there is signatory found.. you have to pay…
Our response : Duh… Signatory found but it doesn’t match.. And we are liable for the deal.. If this is case, why we even need signatory at the back of the credit card.. Can’t understand how the banks work.. [Scratch head]

Came back from Europe early May 07.
Apart from the great architecture works that we took lots & lots of pics on.. Din really enjoy ourselves much…
We fell sick, one after another.. sigh.. I too weak.. Caught the flu bug, then the fever bug.. then took much fried food.. Developed cough & sore throat.. As usual, dear commented that he took some of the virus off me.. That’s y when I became better, he fell sick..
Only one word to describe the food.. “TERRIBLE”… Missed the local delicacy.. Missed Australia’s China Town’s Food Street more.. can’t wait to go back Australia..
As for Europe, it has to queue up.. when I am sick of the rest of the world, I will then reconsider visiting it again.. Next destination : JAPAN =P
