Anu Bday

This morning, we celebrated Anu Bday.. Her bday falls on the same day as that of my sister... I bought her a cake from Prixx Dexx... The gals bought her a present from wallet shop.. Only gals will do such cosy thingy like celebrating each other bdays in office =D

A while ago, we celebrated Mei Mei's bday at my mummy place... Her actual bday is tom, 29th Dec... so we celebrated a day earlier... For dinner, mummy cooked noodles & eggs for her...

Chinese New Year Tree

Xmas is just over for a few days...on 26th dec, we already start hearing CNY songs on the radio... So fast huh... To match up the speed, I removed my xmas deco from my xmas tree too... Started to put up all the CNY decorations... ha ha ha... aren't I KS... opps...

Looked not bad huh.. Here's my chinese new year tree.. had yet to find time to put up other CNY deco.. will update my blog again once i done that =D

X'mas Feast @ Atrina.. Part II

This year xmas is really different.... We had our own place to celebrate Xmas... Ho ho ho.. We had our own xmas tree and our 1st x'mas party at Atrina...

After the X'mas eve celebration with our CL frenzs, our families joined us on x'mas day for a mini xmas party too... My mummy cooked beehoon and fishball, and made ching teng... Dear, as usual, being uncle, ordered some vege from the nearby coffeeshop... The kids, inclding myself treated ourselves to McWings & Fries from Mac, and pizza from Pizza Hut.. Yummy yummy...

Dear had the fun most of all... fun from where??? of course from eating lar.. ha ha ha... these are masterpiece from my sister...

Looking forward to next year xmas celebration again.. Ooo.. but now, we shall prepare to welcome Chinese New Year... one more mth to go...

X'mas Feast @ Atrina

Yesterday, we held our 1st xmas feast at our new hse in Atrina. CLDDs frenzs turned up with spouses and kids =D As usual, we had a little potluck... Food was good.. Got beehoon, hongkong mee, chicken wing, otah, dim sum, old chang kea and log cake..

Apart from Wenqiang & LinLing, this is the 1st time the rest of th CL gang visited our new place since we move in.. So excited.. Loved to show them ard =D
Jovin was one of the regular at our hse.. She will entertain herself, much to the delight of the adults.. See, she even learned to take pics.. Quite accurate, right =D

The families had some shot too... The House of Js with funny faces... Bihua and Yuling with their 2 princes.. And of course, Ah Pek Lim and Jie Jie Ting with our 2 fav kids, Jovin & Jovan...

Justin grew so much since we last saw him.. Handsome young man, isn't he... Javier din really quite settle in last night.. Kept crying.. Maybe the crowd scared him.. Hope he will be better during CNY gathering since he'll be older =D

My parents dropped by my place last night after a xmas party at my caterpilla uncle's place... they brought over the gifts for us... Mummy is enlighted to see baby jovan.. Kept saying he is cute =D

Wenqiang is the most naughty yesterday.. He had kit kat and he kept putting them into Jovan's mouth.. Just when Jovan's going to close his mouth to bite it, he'll take the kit kat out.. Saliva kept forming at Jovan's mouth.. Nuaghty daddy... Want to give, yet dun wan to give... Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.... Dear also another naughty one.. Kept helping Wenqiang in his crime.. Sigh.. really 2 brothers...

Like i say, brothers are brothers.. Dear picked Wenqiang gift last night.. Or rather, I helped dear picked.. and the name turned out to be Wenqiang =(...

But the most funny thingy is Wenqiang dun know what is behind the wrapping paper.. As usual, the gifts are done up by the hardworking wifey... Dear tore open the wrapping paper and they are hello kitty kitchen accessories... Ha ha ha.. i almost had a good laugh... turned out i'll be using the accessories... Now the things are ard in the kitchen.. i liked the gift.. but dun know abt dear =D ke ke ke..

Our next CL gathering is on 10th Jan 2009.. This will be our annual reunion dinner.. We fixed it at Changi Airport Terminal 3, Dian Xiao Er... Turn out is good.. So far got 11 adults and 4 kids... still waiting for some more replies.. then i can call to make reservation liao =D

So looking forward to it.. Tonight, my family, dear family and my auntie & cousin from m'sia will be coming over for another xmas feast.. Busy busy busy.. Shall go & prepare now.. Blog later =D

WSD X'mas Lunch cum Dec Bday Celebration

Last Friday, we held a mini xmas lunch cum december birthday celebration for the x'mas babies... We had a potluck cum gift exchange session...

For the bday gals (who are dressed in bright red, pick and orange), we bought big cards for them.. For the rest of us, we wore blue.. It is a blue x'mas for us... We used the conference room for our mini party... The preparation begins... Laying out all the food... Preparing paper cups and plates.. etc etc etc.. so exciting...

Our x'mas lunch incld turkey... log cake... fruit tartlets.. cottage pies.. Prawn salad... crab nuggets... fish ball... mushroom ball.. and sparkling juice... Yummy yummy.. all of us were so full..

Oh, and not forgething our "main lead"... The xmas tree and all our presents under the tree =D

Uncooked Turkey

Friday, we had our WSD x’mas lunch… Dennis ordered a turkey from Delifxxxxx… He made prior booking for the turkey and told them that we need it for office lunch party… Delifxxxxx HQ assured him that the turkey will be cooked…

That Friday afternoon, Dennis went with Mabel to collect the turkey at Changi Airport, Delifxxxxx.. They received the greatest shock when they arrived…The turkey is frozen… The guys made some noise and the staff at Delifxxxxx assured us that the turkey is pre-cooked and would only need some pre-heating… They even volunteered to pre-heat for us… Not bad for services for a start.. But guess what.. the “pre-heating” took almost an hour… so much for turkey being pre-cooked..

Dennis & Mabel brought back the turkey and we cut in it up into slices.. Received another shock… the meat inside is red.. the turkey isn’t cooked at all =( At the moment, we totally lost our appetite =(

We got so angry and upset.. what does pre-cooked means when the meat inside is still reddish in color… In the end, Dennis wrote an ugly email to Delifxxxxx to report the matter.. Luckily we got other nice food to go along.. else there goes our xmas lunch…

Hope Delifxxxxx will do something about it…At least explain to us for what happen… Halo.. Xmas is suppose to be joyous.. But it not with Delifxxxxx food…

LiLian’s Bday

Celebrated LiLian’s bday during tea break last Friday… Bought her a cake and surprise her with it… She was very shocked…but she was sure touched…1st birthday in Dec… next up will be one of my staff, Anu… Her birthday falls on the same date as my sister… Unbelievable hor… Shall look forward to that =D

My 1st X'mas Tree....

Presenting to you my 1st ever x'mas tree... Fyi, I did it all by myself.. the setting up of the tree + decorating it + wrapping of all the gifts.. Dear wanna to help cos he's scared it'll be too heavy.. But naughty me did all these while I waited for him to knock off work..

Anyway, applaude for my effort in getting my 1st x'mas tree to be up and going... Both of us loved the blue and silver theme... Can't wait for x'mas to arrive =D

Bedroom Frenzs

Dear is so sweet that day... we went Taka and he bought me my fav cuddy animals... Chip & Dale... Now my bedroom is filled with all my beloved frenzs...

Can still remember how I got each & every one of them =D
[No wonder dear says my hard disk is only for personal and selective thingys.... ke ke ke.. like how i got the bears...=D]

Tigger & Pooh - My 1st business trip to China... away from dear for 10 days...Dear gave this pair to me when I touched down Singapore...

Care Bear - Dear bought this to cheer me up during my last year in Audit, during the peak period where I had to work past midnight... so nice of him =D

Barcelona Bear - Dear bought this for me while we were touring Barcelona Stadium in 2007...

F1 Bear - Dear bought this for me when we catched F1 Singapore in Sep this year... The 1st live F1 race for us and the 1st night race.. So glad to be part of this historical moment =D

Elmo & Cookie Monster - Dear bought them for me when we toured Osaka, Japan in Oct 08... Had always loved elmo and cookie monster.. So happy to add them into my collection...

Chip & Dale - Had always loved these 2 chaps.. Missed them while I went Disney Land in Japan this year... To make it up to me... Dear bought them for me for X'mas this year... So happy =D

Naughty Hubby...

Dear was disturbing me the other night... He messed with my bedroom frenzs.. It was simply too funny, so I had to take pics for u guys to see =D

Xia's Wedding.....

Xia held her wedding in Dec 08.. had her tea ceremony on Sat morning and her wedding dinner on Mon night..

Sat morning....
Woke up at 4.30am to bath and doll up... Sigh.. had to reach xia's place before 6.30am.. and gotta pick up Lingz, Juan and Qi.. so got to wake up earlier than usual.. Had fun at the "gate crashing" activities..

Here's wat we did...
Obstacle 1... Breakfast time... the usual 酸 (bean curb --> groom's fav.. + lemon juice), 甜 (lady finger + brinjal --> groom hate these.. + malt candy), 苦 (bitter gourd juice) and 辣 (tobacco agar agar --> this stink !!!)...

Obstacle 2... Dancing time... prepared shakers for the groom and the brothers... they used the shakers as instruments to sing Xia a song... Forever Love... Then we made them dance to the MTV of one of Jolin's song.. funny scene...

Obstacle 3... Got Xia to write out 10 commendments.. Groom had to read them out loud & clear and in specified language / dialect as indicated by Xia.. This is also funny... But due to time constraint.. only did half of this.. remaining half, groom got away and was allowed to read out the 10 points in English...

After the gate crashing session, we proceed to Groom place.. had to reach his place before 9am due to "good" timing.. but tea ceremony can only start after 10.30am.. so it's down to waiting time..

Then we went to the couple's new place.. stayed for quite a while before we move to xia's parent place.. cos got "good" timing to go home too.. can only go back after 1pm..

So practically, the whole morning other than the gate crashing activities, i was waiting and waiting.. more tiring than the morning games.. but this is an unforgetable morning =D

What have I been busy about???

Have been busy for the last 1 - 2 wks... Here's why...

(1) My boss going on long leave.. He flew off last night.. so before he left, I had to settle all outstanding things under him... Luckily, I completed everything...

(2) Never ending wedding bells.... Last Thurs & Fri, was busy preparing the things needed for Xia's wedding... Xia's tea ceremony was on Sat morning.. so Sat burnt... Sun, I rested while dear went to Sean's wedding... Mon night, we attended xia's wedding... Tues, i took a day leave to do my x'mas shopping... Wed night is Liyun's wedding... So shiong.. wedding is never ending...

Today is Friday... TGIF... tonight gg to play mahjong.. finally able to sit down and relax =D

Horrible Mummy

Was at Hougang Mall yesterday when I saw this mother with her maid and 2 young daughters.. Din really see what happen previously but saw the "after effects" of the accident...

A box of cakes was scattered on the floor... Angry mother... Helpless maid... Scared daughter... From this, I could roughly tell the daughter muz have been naughty and hence resulted in the spill of the box of cakes... The mother angrily picked up the cakes.. When she stumbled upon one pc that just lies beside the daughter (not very near though), she angrily pushed the daughter away, causing her to fall on her side, on the floor... Immediately, the daughter cried...

I was thinking to myself.. Yap, the daughter is naughty.. you can beat her hands, her backside or punished her in other ways.. But why push her until she fell to the floor... The force of an angry adult can be so huge that what if, the girl fracture her arm? she might have to compensate more with the medical bills... the scene was scary.. Even now, i could still rem how badly the girl is crying and holding on to her hands...

I hope i'll not be such a horrible mummy in future.. Or shld I say.. I muz make sure that i cannot be such a horrible mummy in the future =D

New car collection... Mixed feeling...

On Saturday evening, we collected our new car at Sim Ming Drive, Toyxxx Building.. So excited..

When we saw the car waiting for us in the car park, we were both thrilled... Brand new Atlxx parking there, waiting for us to drive him away...

We met up with our agent, who gave us an introduction and familiarisation session to our new car... Muz applaude for his good service.. After we got our keys, we handed the old keys of our Getz to the agent..

Seeing the agent driving our car away, we were abit sad though... Afterall, that's our 1st car... anyway, 旧的不去, 新的不来 right... Sigh... we'll get over it soon =D

Am going to treasure our new car.... Decided to do without the bears and the chipmunks... Somehow feel that there is a mismatch... Going to let my toys reunite with the rest of the toys in my bedroom =D Dear is happy abt this.. at least, i'm not gg to turn his car into something cutie.. ha ha ha

Dear... Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversay !!!

Yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversay... Times really flies... Can't believe tat we are already "married" traditionally for 2 years liao =D

Thanks, dear.. for giving me eveything...

But sigh... I was sick... woke up with no energy at all... stomach growling & growling as if I ate something wrong and the vomitting kept coming... =( Help... my food intake was super low yesterday...

Dear took leave yesterday to take care of me... Went to the doc in morning at Hougang Central but queue was super super long.. had to wait minimun a hour before it's my turn... in the end, we decided to go to Mac to have some light breakfast... Facing my fav hotcake, i could only take 1 of them out of the 3... =(

After breakfast, I continue my wait at the doc, while dear made his way down to Toyota (at Ubi) to settle the outstanding downpayment and the 1st instalment for the car loan... Imagine my wait was so long tat by the time I done with seeing the doc and collecting my medicine, dear reached Hougang already...

Lunch was a simple affair at my MIL place... after tat, back to home for some sleep... the medicine is taking effects... Dinner again was another simple affair at my mum place... Too sick to want to go anywhere... Sorrie dear.. Din really spent a very romantic dinner on our anniversary...will compensate you for that =D

Go... Sisters... Go

Last Sunday, we visited ah Xia's place officially after her reno is done up... Her place is big... An EA... actual reason was of course not hse warming.. It's the "兄弟" & "姐妹" meet up for the 1st time...

Xia's wedding is due on 6th Dec... So this is the 1st time we sisters are meeting the brothers... All the brothers are dom's air force buddies... Dun look so dangerous.. but we could be wrong... never judge pple by their looks...

After a pizza lunch, the sisters locked ourselves up in the room to brainstorm abt "gate crashing" activities... Discussed all the "evil" plans for an hour more... Dear xia was like at one corner, kept saying... do we really have to do this... tat's very bad lei... Hmm... so fast already so protective of Dom... Sigh...

Anyway, we had a "GOOD" discussion... So looking forward to the 6th... =D

Record Breaking COE... and we got it =D

Yesterday evening, me & dear received this sms from our car agent...

"Congratulations! Your COE has just been secured. Your rebate is $8,998. Will inform you again when the stock has arrived."

1st glance, both of us thought... Hmm... COE is at S$8,998.. Not that bad... At least got S$2 back.. Yes S$2... when we signed the papers, COE was quited at S$9,000. Anything below this S$9k, agent will refund us the differences.. Anything above S$9k, agent will absorb... The previous bidding was hovering at abt S$10k.. So quite normal for us to think.. okie, COE dropped a little to below S$9k

On my way home, i was listening to radio.. then came the news... 1st time the news was reported, i was still a little shaken.. did i hear it wrongly? then the news reporter repeat that particular article on COE cos she herself is in shock also...wow.. we are not getting back S$2... our COE is at S$2... and we are getting back Salmost S$9k... it's really lucky for us =D

Now our new car is gg to cost ard S$49k.. wow.. it's really a bonus to us... Our cash outlay for no good reason suddenly became S$9k lesser... So happy =D

Hurray... We got our COE !!!

Yippee... Our COE had been secured...

Our car dealer just sent us a sms and told us the good news... So happy now.. All we have to do now is WAIT... wait for the car to be registered, then we can collect the car...

Was wondering... can we collect the car next Tuesday... why Tuesday? cos tat's our wedding anniversay... In case nobody know wat I'm talking abt... We collected our Getz on 12th July few years back... 12th July is special for us cos we started dating on that date.. Hopefully we can collect our 2nd car on our special date too =D

I'll pray hard....

This is so funny... i jus could not stop laughing...

Yesterday night, i told dear abt my previous blog post... New Addition to the Family... he got a shock... wat new addition... a baby??? he's thinking too much... ke ke ke... i was laughing and laughing... i caught him a little off gurad.. managed to trick him abt the new title.. until i mentioned our new car.. he finally got it... Our new addition is the Altxx =DYap, we signed the paper yesterday for our new car =D Hurray... Quick, let go off the fire crackers... ke ke ke... we placed our deposit for a 1.6cc Coroxxx Altxx.. Going for the bidding next week, hopefully we could make it... if all things go well, we will be looking at getting our car by end Nov.. So excited.. dear will be driving to work after getting new car... will he miss the MRT? Hmmmm.....

Anyway, we are both happy with the purchase... dear's colleague even asking him why he not chaning into a BMW or Merces... Nope... intercontinental cars in the Lim Family is definitely a NO NO... ha ha ha... dear know wat i mean... anyway, why spend so much on a car... afterall they are liabilities..

Can't wait for the phone call next week from Mr Lee (our car agent).... Hope everything go well =D

New addition to the family.... =D

Last wkend, dear and I went to cars' show room... We are looking at changing our small Getz to a 1.6cc sedan... After doing some research, dear narrowed down his choice to 2 cars... One is Toyoxx, Coroxxx Altxx and the other one is Honxx, Civxx....

We 1st visited Toyoxx show room and dear did a test drive.. very impressed with Toyoxx... Next we went to Honxx show room... Dear also did the normal test drive... In fact, dear is more impressed with Honxx cos of the car's responsiveness... Bad then, the price is discouraging... Civxx is $10k plus more than Altxx =(

S$10k plus for more IT stuffs and responsiveness... not really worth it... In fact, the fuel consumption is very similar.. Hmpf...

Anyway, we made up our mind liao... Going to buy the Altxx... Will be going down tonight to do another test drive and then off we go.. we'll have a new addition to the family =D

Mummy Bday @ Lao Beijing

Yesterday, we had a mini celebration for Mummy at Lao Beijing, Novena... Reason for celebration... it's mummy bday... =D

We made reservation for wkend high tea buffet.. spread of food was quite good and the price is relatively cheap... We had a fun time.. if u dun believe it.. take a look at the pics.. they can speak a thousand words =D

2008 = Record Breaking for Wedding Bells...

wow wow wow... 2008 had been a record breaking year for us to receive the red bomb... i tot 2005 & 2006 is cos lotz of dear's frenz wed in that 2 years, inclding myself... but i can't believe it when the invites kept appearing in my letterbox...

Can you imagine it... jus Dec 2008 alone, we had received 5 invitation cards... wow wow wow.. Now is at 16... a few more "surprise" to go and we'll hit almost 20...

Ho ho ho... One & a half more mths, it'll be x'mas time... Yesterday, dear and I went down Carrefour to get our 1st x'mas tree... their x'mas tree is on sale.. so real real cheap... decided on the theme as well... it'll be a blue + silver x'mas theme...

Can't wait to get it up =D

Had our monthly color lunch this afternoon... Theme is purple.. I dun have a purple top, so i bought one while I was in KL... Had pizza for lunch today...

Our next theme color is chosen... YELLOW... haven decided on what lunch to have yet, so shall KIV that... Emjoy the pics though =D

Short KL Getaway (aka MeiMei wedding)

Dear & I went to KL on Saturday morning, with abt 20 other colleagues... It was Mei Mei's (dear colleague) wedding. 1st time we attending our frenz's wedding overseas...

Our "chairman" arranged for us all the transportation and accommodation... 1st time I din have to do all the research and booking.. so shiok... we stayed at Sunway Pyramid Tower Hotel.. Sunway Lagoon is just a stone throw away... Hotel is better than what we expected.. enjoyed this short trip a lotz...

Things we enjoyed...
~ the famous bak ku teh that dear had for 3 consecutive days.... it's was DELICIOUS, no doubt..
~ enjoyed the shopping too... there was a 5 storey high shopping complex, Sunway Pyramid beside the hotel...
~ Not forgetting the massage too.. dear had it for 2 consecutive days
~ we found an A&W restaurant in the shopping complex.. the curly fries re yummy

From the trip, we also paid granny a short visit =D Missed her a lotz... =D we then had a simple zhu chao dinner at the road side... yummy yummy... cheap and good =D

Now it's time to talk a little abt MeiMei wedding... most entertaining wedding I've been to.. Meimei & Vincent are really compatible... Lotz of musical performance in between... Even the 1st match in was a duet sang by the wedding couple... At the end of the dinner, Meimei's siblings sang her a lovely song, accompanied with instruments playing and dancing also... really cool..

Still love KL a lotz.. can't wait to go back again =D
