New Clothes... New Hairstyle

Today, I wore new clothes.. This blue precious moment body suit is a gift from Daddy's boss... It fits me nicely as of now.. wonder if i can wear them after few more weeks...

Oh.. I also had a new hairstyle... Mummy and Auntie styled it for me, after my morning shower.. Do I look like Daddy now? Ha ha ha...

Opps... I can't lift up my head yet... But I can do a flip...

Mummy and auntie put me on my bed, with my stomach faced down.. They were hoping tat I'll lift up my neck for them to take pictures.. But ha ha ha..

Halo, Mummy... I'm only 2weeks, few days old... I can't lift up my neck yet.. But let me show you something else.. I can do a flip... But dun expect me to flip back.. wa ha ha ha...

I can sit up straight...

I can sit up straight.. Not on my own though, but with some help from my pillow and bolster.. Auntie put me in a corner of my cot and with the pillow / bolster at both of my side, see... I can sit up straight =D

Mummy was so happy that she went snapping away with her camera... I made Mummy so happy =D

Today, Mummy let me wore new top today.. Not only that, Mummy also put on shorts for me... See.. Am I handsome??

Naughty Kaden.. Scared Daddy..

Daddy bathed Kaden for the 2nd time on Sunday...It was father day on Sunday and Kaden gave Daddy a real scare..

Daddy was bathing Kaden and all went well until the end... Daddy was grabbing and lying the towel across his lap, with one hand to prepare for the picking up of Kaden... At the same time, he was holding onto Kaden's armpit with his the other hand... In a second, Kaden struggled and push his neck out of daddy's hand... Luckily Daddy is holding Kaden's armpit strongly and his head din manage to get another water... It was a real scare for Daddy..

After the event, Daddy was "upset" for causing Kaden the scare, so he went to sayang Kaden after the bath.. Not a very good father's day gift huh for dear daddy... Kaden may not know anything cos he's so young.. but Daddy and Mummy really loved Kaden a lotz..

We are newly promoted parents, so we will definitely try to learn as much as possible to give Kaden a good environment to grow up in...

1st Father's Day

Yesterday is Father's Day.. This is the 1st father's day for dear dear...

Dear went out for lunch with his family.. I'm still under my confinement, so Kaden & I had to be confined at home.. My family came over at nitz for dinner, with mum's home cooked food... Next year, Kaden will be able to join us outside for meal =D

During the day when Kaden & I were at home, I took the look alike test again... I used the most updated pic of Kaden that I took in the morning.. Guess what, this time round, Kaden looks more like Daddy by 3%.. This must be a father's day gift for dear.. =D

Daddy bathed Kaden for the 1st time today... 1st attempt... Fully guided by auntie... But it's a job well done.. By the end of the bath, Daddy was sweating like hell... Our Kaden was happy like angel =D My turn to come when my confinement ends.. Counting down now...

Kaden has grown too by the days.. he worn "new" top today.. though passed down by the gor gors.. this is the 1st time he wearing their top... so oso considered new top...aren't he adorable??

Who does Kaden resemble? Part II...

Did an online test today.. It's known as the "Look-alike Meter".... It basically scan mummy's photo, daddy's photo and the baby's photo and do a comparison... The scan will then determine whether the baby looks more like daddy or more like mummy..

For the test today, Kaden looks more like mummy by 3%... ** Grin Grin by proud mummy **

The old folks say that baby's look will change every single day they grow.. Maybe one week later when i try.. Kaden might look more like Daddy... Let's wait and see...

A Different ROM Anniversary

2009 ROM anniversary is so different from the rest... No dinner appt.. no surprises...

What is available is only Mummy.. Daddy.. and our little prince Kaden.. the new addition to the Lim Family.. This year, we have little Kaden to spend our ROM anniversary with us =D

As I'm still doing my confinement, could not afford to go out for dinner.. Hope can get **compensation** after my confinement is over... (Hint hint... hope someone get the hint !!!!)

5 years ago... on 12 Jun 2004, Dear and me tied the knots legally.. 5 years later... we had little Kaden... so looking fwd to the next 5 years, next 10 years etc etc etc...

So lucky to have met dear =D

Kaden... 1 week old...

Kaden has found a new place to sleep... much cooler cos of the air circulation... he likes it a lotz.. less crying too =D
Kaden also defeated Daddy.. Daddy's personal cup is now no longer personal.. daddy no longer drinks from his cup.. His cup is now used by auntie as milk warmer for our little prince... Ha ha ha..

Our prince is growing by the day... remember the "now u see it, now you dun" advertisement.. Our Kaden did something like tat.. the napkin is tidy in a moment.. with Kaden's hands and legs nicely under it.. then in a second (before u even know it)... his hands and legs are out of the napkin... Really adorable...

Kaden 1st Bath @ Home

Kaden has his 1st bath at home... He was wailing away... but subsequent bath time in the subsequent days.. no more crying from him.. seemed like our Kaden loves water a lotz.. Like father, like son =D

Kaden 1st Chk Up @ PD

Brought Kaden to the PD for his 1st chk up on Monday morning... When discharged, Kaden weighs 2.4kg... 2 days later at the clinic, he weighs a healthy 2.5kg.. =D

PD did a chk on Kaden.. Kaden was very co-operative... opened his eyes for PD to see.. he even shitted for PD to see his poo... Opps.. Though he still had a little jaundice, PD said it's mild.. shall continue to sunbath him at home...

Going back in 2 weeks time to let Kaden has his BCG jab... Will Kaden be afraid of injections?? Let's just wait and see =D

Kaden is home.. Home Sweet Home...

After spending a night at TMC's nursery alone, Kaden was finally fetched home on Saturday.. I was discharged alone on Friday... Can't really sleep on Friday nitz... Pending for Kaden's return on Saturday... Per dear, I even fell asleep holding Kaden's pictures in my hand... Hee hee hee...

Joy of Parenthood

02nd June 2009 - Finally =D

Hurray... Our little prince finally arrived =D

02 June 2009 @ 0732 am, weighing a healthy 2.48kg

hmm.. think he will hit at least 3.5kg upon full term.. ha ha ha.. but thanks to all the soup the mummies made.. tat's why Kaden can be at 2.48kg, even though he is delivered at only 35 weeks =D... Thanks, Mummies...

Our long wait on Sunday and Monday finally ended.. Dr Adrian delivered Kaden on Tuesday morning..

Not the usual C-section, where after delivery, Daddy can go into the ward to look at Kaden.. count his little 10 fingers, his little 10 toes.. watched his weight... instead, Kaden was rushed off to NICU for monitoring.. cos he was delivered at only 35 weeks, and not full term...

I din get to see my Kaden on the day that Kaden is born.. Sob Sob.. I was bedridden due to my c-section.. Also, as Kaden is kept under observation in NICU, so he can't see me also.. Dear is nice, being my agent.. running to NICU every few hrs during the visiting hrs to take pics of Kaden, then showing them to me.. Could feel tears of joys on my face everytime I saw the pics =D

Kaden's PD visited us tat night and told us tat Kaden is doing very well.. If nothing went wrong, he can be transferred to the normal nursery.. so looking fwd towards it =D

Pain me to see Kaden in NICU, but I know it's for his good... Sign of reliefs when finally he was transferred to the norm nursery the next morning =D

Daddy is waiting... waiting... waiting...

My thoughts on Tuesday morning...

Tick tock, tick tock....... It's only been 3mins since I last peered down my timepiece. Only this time, I wasn't admiring it. I was coping with the anxiety of not knowing what's happening with wife and son, who's in the process of delivery.

The PA system breath life into 3 eager bodies in the waiting room, only for 2 of them to settle back into routine. I was 1 of them. Still not my Ting and Kaden...... The father in question rushed off, leaving us in envy of his footsteps.

It only happened an hour after. But meeting the PD was a huge relief as Ting is fine and Kaden looks ok, only they wanna observe a bit, so off to NICU he went... And that's when all the chaos started..........

Early Arrival of Prince Kaden

Our little Kaden decided to report early to Daddy & Mummy... Yap... 5 weeks earlier than my estimated due date..

After tat frightful Sunday morning, it was confirmed that my waterbag was indeed leaking.. It din not burst, so there is no "big & strong" gush of water.. It was merely leaking.. And the funny part is, it only leak when I stand up.. but not when I'm lying down.. As such, I got instruction from Dr Adrian.. to CRIB until further scan to be done on baby... hmm, wat is CRIB.. Complete Rest In Bed... Opps.. can't go anywhere already... In the end, I was put on observation for that night.. was on drip all day.. so painful =(

Dr Adrian popped by on Monday morning.. Put me on waiting list to do an ultrascan to chk baby's status and waterbag condition.. He hope tat all is well and that I can "tahan" another week to wait till Kaden is at least 36 weeks.. Kaden as at Monday is all 35 weeks... Full term is @ 37 weeks.. Hopefully all will go well..

My ultrascan on Monday revealed all.. Kaden is a healthy baby while in Mummy tummy.. He weighs abt 2.4kg.. His organs are all well.. Only negative thingy is my waterbag level is almost zero.. which means the protective shield ard Kaden is almost gone..

Abt 4 plus to 5, Dr Adrian came into my ward and gave me 2 options...
Time of Delivery : Monday Nitz or Tuesday Morning (huh.. tat's fast.. was my immediate thought)
Mode of Delivery : C-Section.. Full GA or Half GA...(immediately i was like.. wat.. can't we do natural delivery)

Dr Adrian told me.. can't wait for next week.. cos waterbag level almost nil.. no protection over Kaden.. Kaden might be infected.. the earlier to deliver him, the better... No natural delivery cos my dilation of cervix is not ready for delivery yet... Plus for natural delivery, the water in the waterbag usually acts as a cushion when I push to deliver Kaden.. Now that my waterbag water level is almost nil.. I'll hv difficulty pushing him out..
So have to do a C-section.. Initially, Dr Adrian was like.. Okie.. let's do a half GA.. hubby be ready.. into the OT with wifey, camera ready.. baby come out and u can take pics..

We freaked out.. in the end, we decided to go for a full GA on Tuesday morning.. Monday nitz was a bit fast for me.. we are still coming to term that Kaden will be arriving 5 weeks earlier.. not going for half GA too.. can't imagine myself being opened up while I'm being "cut open"

So Kaden is expected to arrive on 2nd June.. scheduled time at 700am...

31st May 2009.... Frightful Sunday Morning....

On Sunday, 31st May 09, Mummy & Daddy had a frightful morning...

My waterbag started leaking while I'm still in bed abt 8am.. At that time, I thought to myself.. Hmm... muz be Kaden pressing on my bladder... weak bladder.. so I muz be losing the ability to control my urine... I told dear what happened and he suggested that I called my mummy to ask.. Mummy suggested that I go gynae for a chk up.. My gynae was not operating on Sunday, so I thought.. Maybe I can wait a day and go for chk up @ Dr Adrian's clinic on Monday afternoon.. Dear thought otherwise.. so in the end, we decided to go for a chk up at Thomson since I'll be there in the afternoon for my last pre-natal lesson...

Strangely.. tat morning, lotz of things happened unlike usual.. Normally, I'll go my in-laws place for lunch, then return home to bath & change to go for my class.. Surprisingly, I took my bath 1st.. and decided to go Thomson straight after lunch.. By instinct, I grabbed my hospital bag & my cord blood banking kit ... Dear also surprisingly logged on to internet banking tat morning, and cleared his credit card bills.. Normally, he will only logged on to internet banking & cleared his bills at nitz.. Not sure why we did all those things early on a Sunday morning...

Anyway, by 1 pm.. I was lying on the bed of the labour ward, with the nurse monitoring me on my "waterbag leaking" condition... Had my waterbag really burst????
