Daddy Birthday

We had a mini celebration for Daddy's birthday this year. We bought a small cake and gotten Kaden to help him blow the candles... 

Seem like it's Kaden's birthday more than Daddy's birthday.. Ke ke ke 

July 2011 Bangkok Trip Part 2...

Highlight for the trip was our dinner at Crystal Jade Golden Palace at Siam Paragon... Not as expensive as we thought it is but we really have some good food... Yummy Yummy... Even Kaden enjoyed the food and he is licking his lips...

Last morning of the trip, I left Kaden in the care of dear and my MIL, and off I went with my parents and siblings to the morning market for SHOPPING... Yippee, a morning off for me... I simply went crazy and bought lots of things... almost spent every single dollars i had with me... ke ke ke... That afternoon, I even went for a Thai massage... My mum helped me to take care of Kaden... So nice...

 The whole trip ended with lunch at Siam Paragon and Kaden revisiting the Ocean World to meet his fav mascots.. And of course, not forgeting his trip on the BTS sky train again...

Will definitely be back to BKK again, with my little one... Maybe next year?? Ke ke ke...

July 2011 Bangkok Trip Part 1...

Finally, the photos for the bangkok trip are ready... Took me a long while to get them done... Sigh, I must admit, I am too slow nowadays or rather too distraughted by other things..

Here's a recap of the whole event and I will let the pictures do most of the talking...

Friday Morning @ Changi Airport Terminal One

While we are all waiting for the 1st flight out to BKK, we had some light breakfast @ the Kopitiam...

After check-in, while on our way to the boarding gate, we saw the HUGE bear on the display... Kaden can't help it but wanna take some pictures with it... Even I love them to the max... Can we buy them home???

 On the plance, Kaden's happily doing a fashion parade on the latest model of sunglasses in the market... Sunglasses are compliments from Ah Yee...

 Welcome to BKK, after a 3 hr flight... Prebooked a van to bring all of us to the service apartment which is just beside MBK... Kaden is happily saying HI to the animal of BKK, his favourite elephant...

While waiting to check in, Kaden tried another hobby... Photography... Hmmm, need a bit more polishing up...

Settled for lunch, dear did some tailoring of shirts... While the guys went for some massage, me, Tingyu and Mummy, with our handsome Kaden went for some window shopping... We took Kaden on his 1st ride on the BTS sky train... And he loved it...

 A pleasant surprise was waiting for us at Siam Ocean World... The sea creatures parade... Though we did not venture into the underwater world cos it is too pricely, but we managed to catch a live peformance by the mascots and Kaden even took pictures with them... Cool...

 There is a stage set up for the parade... After the sea creatures mascots retreated to the back stage, the stage now belongs to the next Kungfu Panda in action... Let's put our hands together and welcome KADEN LIM... ha ha ha

 During the trip, went for some snacks at Burger King.. Kaden got a complimentary hat... and he really enjoyed the fries... Full Kaden = Happy Kaden...

For my 2 yrs old birthday, I received lots of presents from my beloved uncles, aunties, jie jies and kor kors who loved me a lot...

Kaden Turns 2... Part 2

4^th June 2011

Had a last celebration for our prince on the 4^th and I must say, it was a grand one….

Not as grand as his 1^st year old bday party but still a good one as compared to the 1st 2 celebrations that he had…

We booked the function room + the bbq pit… ordered in bbq stuffs and a bbq chef… Tingyu & I decorated the function room with balloons and our dear Kaden Ah Yee made him a birthday banner…  A very nice banner =D we also booked a bday cake from Pine Garden… Sounded almost like Kaden’s 1^st year old bday… ke ke ke

The only difference I guessed is the guest list…

This time, it was a family + close friend’s event…

Both our families, my cousin, my caterpillar uncle and our close friends (House of Js, Ah Bao, ZHSS gang & our Japanese friends) attended the birthday bash

With Kaden older and more focus, we managed to take many pictures with Kaden…

Kaden Turns 2... Part 1

Kaden turned 2 on 2nd Jun 2011…

We just touched down the day before from HKD so it was a rather lazy day for us on the 2nd…

But for the subsequent 2 days to come, it was happening for our little Kaden…

2^nd June 2011

We went to the temple in the morning…

It was a monthly ritual, so nothing too special about it… But what was special was when Kaden was praying to the 四面佛…

When Kaden saw the elephants from the 四面佛, he started saying elephants, elephants, fly fly… He must have though he is still in HongKong Disney Land, and looking at Dumbo the Flying elephants… Cannot doubt his awareness, huh…

In the afternoon, we brought Kaden to Downtown East to meet & greet Po, the Kungfu Panda… Clever Mummy managed to grab a photo pass for Kaden to a snap with Po… we could have gotten a free 4R photo, if only Dear remember that I was an NTUC members…

**Hmpf… the worker was asking if Dear had NTUC card, and he simply said No… NTUC card entitled us to have our photo taken freely by the expert and a free 4R photo… Grrrrr*** Luckily, I had with me my digital camera…

That night we bought a small cake for Kaden… (**Din wanna to spend so much on a big one as we will be expecting one on Saturday**)

Kaden was excited and wanna eat it immediately…

So we out up the candle and started to sing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” song.

Immediately, he sat back and started singing with us, clapping his hands…

After we finished, we told Kaden… “You can blow out the candle now”…

Within seconds, the fire on the candle is gone… and Kaden is happily clapping his hands…

My boy really loves singing Happy Birthday to himself and blowing out candles…

He was simply too fast and Dear din even manage to capture a proper picture of him… So funny…

3^rd June 2011

We celebrated Kaden’s birthday again on 3^rd June 2011. This time, it is with the Sunshine Gangs, where we celebrated Junie Bday too.

We had dinner at Friends Restaurant @ Jelita… It was a joyous occasion…

Kaden was no longer afraid of the sunshiners… he even played with them most of the time…

To our surprise, Kaden even allowed Junie to carry him for the Happy Birthday singing session + candle blowing session + cake cuttings session…

The sunshiners bought a big present for Kaden… Kaden loved it…

He was literally “protecting” it towards the end of the dinner as there were “evil” jie jie looming around, trying to lay their hands on the gift…

At home, we opened the present and it was something which Dear & I wanna bought for Kaden… The gift came just in time… It was a kid’s table + 2 chairs… Kaden loved it…

The pictures would tell the stories … Save me time & efforts from writing… ke ke ke

"Television” vs. “Charger"

One night, Kaden came running to me…

Kaden: “Mama, television… television… cannot… cannot...”

Mummy: “Yes, Kaden… what is going on? What is this thing about ‘television’ and ‘cannot’? ”

Kaden stuffed something into my hands and kept pointing to it, saying “Cannot… cannot…”

I looked closely and realized that it was a digital photo frame and Kaden’s interpretation of “Cannot” meant that there was no picture and sound coming from the frame…

Mummy: “Kaden, this is a digital photo frame, not a television. And, Mummy did not charge the digital photo frame; hence there is no battery in it to give you pictures and sounds. “

Kaden: “No battery… charge”

Mummy: “Kaden, Mummy had forgotten where I put the charger. And it is getting late… why don’t we charge it tomorrow?”

Kaden did not say anything and he disappeared into the room.

I was thinking, hmmm… this boy understood what I am saying. He must be putting back the photo frame into the drawer where he found it…

The next moment when Kaden reappear in the living room, I almost fell off my chair. In his small hands are the digital photo frame at one side, and my lap top charger on the other.

Kaden: “Mama… charge”, and he passed me my lap top charger…

Oh gosh, this little one knows something… I thought, might be a coincidence, since he always saw me using my lap top, with the charger. So I just plucked the charger into a hole at the back of the digital photo frame.

Mummy: “See, Kaden, the photo frame is charging. You need to wait till tomorrow, before it is fully charged.”

Kaden stared at me and shook his head, “No Mama… must charge”

Mummy: “It is charging, Kaden. See, the charger is connected to the photo frame.”

Kaden shook his head, picked up the power socket at the end of the charger and started pulling me to the other end of the living room. I was wondering, what is my boy up to and I got the shock of my life…

He brought me to the wall, where there is the power point is. He pointed to the power socket and then to the power point, and he turned to me… “Mama… charge!!!”

Okie, I gave up…

I plucked the socket into the power point and started to charge the digital photo frame.

Till now, I am still surprised at how my Kaden could piece together the power charger, power socket and power point part… For god sake, he just turns 2…

But then, I must say, Dear and I were impressed + happy for his ability to be logical and to connect… Keep it up, son...

Lim Family... 1st Photo Shoot

Finally, we utilized the voucher for a photo shoot that we received for Kaden one year birthday last year…

Kaden was a bit cranky initially,… but soon warmed up due to involvement of the photographer… He even smiled for the camera…


Result of photos is good… Haven thought of what to do with the negatives yet… Maybe develop some of the nice photos to make it into an album?? Or a big photo montage??


Shall give it some thoughts… Let's enjoy the photos 1st =D
