4D3N CRUISE COACH

We went for 4D3N a cruise coach package over the weekend.. Never been on cruise before, so was very, very excited.

Star Virgo is set to leave the port at 2359 but we can roam about freely on board after checking in, so we decided to check in earlier. Upon reaching Habour Front Center, I was almost freaked out by the long queue for checking in.. Thought it’ll at least take me 1 to 2 hours before I can board.. luckily, we upgraded our room =P Paid a little more and took the room with the balcony, so we entitled to special check in.. it was fast.. Within ½ hr, we’re already on our way to clear our bags and board the ship…The upgrading also entitled us to welcome drink… felt so pampered =P

Our room is on the 11th floor and the highest is 13th.. so we got quite a good location… The room is bigger than the normal cabin and the toilet is huge too… I never been to the cabin where there is only a pothole but heard from dear that it’s really, really very small..so glad that we upgraded =P the view from the balcony was also magnificent…

Spent the rest of the night and the next morning on the cruise eating.. visiting the casino, watching live magic & acrobat performances and soaking ourselves in the Jacuzzi.. real enjoyment… good life too…but tend to get a little bored after a while cos not much things to do.. can’t wait to get on shore..

Reached Port Klang about 2pm the next day and was transferred to Genting via coach.. Days at Genting was well spent..

Caught 2 movies.. The rat show and Evan Almighty.. both were very funny and heartwarming show.. you guys shld catch it.. we were given 2 “Fly” tickets (magical & acrobat show) at Genting but atlas, it was the same time as our rat show.. Me & dear are more interested to catch the movie and plus we seen magical show already on the cruise, so we decided to give up watching Fly.. Felt wasteful though cos each tickets cost RM50 each.. then dear had a thinking, maybe we can sell the tickets away at half price, RM25 each.. in any case, there is no cash outlay for us too… in the ned, we managed to get rid of the tickets to a middle east look alike couple.. win-win situation for both couples =P

Went to KTV too.. was attracted by the sign K-Box at Genting but then on closer look, came to released that it is literally a box for people to sign in.. we went to this outlet called “Be a Star”.. took their K-Tea package… really cheap.. The 2 of us sang for 2 hours, shared a plate of tidbits, each of us had a cup of tea and waffles… all only for RM34.. oh my god.. per pax is only slightly less than S$8…

Went bowling too cos our stay at the hotel entitled us to a free game each.. Added on one more game… with shoe rental.. only paid RM18.. so 2 games with shoe rental is only about S$4 per pax… we had fun.. entered into a bet ourselves.. what we betted for is secret.. but then we breakeven.. I won the 1st game and dear won the second =P

I also did lots of shopping at Genting… this period is the Malaysia Mega Sale, so I just go ard buying and buying things… ha ha ha.. went with 2 bags and came back with 3 bags + 1 plastic bag of food.. my mum even fainted when she saw our expansion of lug gages =P

After all those activities, we went for a hour massage.. leg + back & shoulder.. really shiok… but after the night of massage, went home with bruises on my legs and hands… but the uncles doing the massage for us are really good =P..

Last but not least, we went to the Casino.. 1st night, Dear won RM200.. we stopped playing after that ..2nd night, dear went to try his luck and lost all the RM200..I tried my luck too and break even after a while… so decided to 收山early in case we lose too much..

I played on Casino War.. a game where you compete with the dealer to see whose card has the bigger no… very easy game and it all came down to luck.. Dear played 3 picture pokers.. you basically add up the 3 cards and the single digit at the end of the summation is your no. then you compete with the dealer to see whose card has the bigger no.. We wanted to try our luck at Black Jack and Straight Poker… but the stakes are too high… maybe the next time when we earned more, then we will play something bigger…=P

Overall, it was an enjoyable holiday… 1st time on cruise… 1st time gambling in Casino.. and revisiting Genting.. Thumbs Up for this holiday..

PRE BIRTHDAY PRESENTS

My birthday is round the corner, though not yet coming but Dear had already given me my present.. and it’s not only one but two presents… ke ke ke

My sweet dear bought a LV wallet for you.. it’s so expensive but I really liked it a lot.. so much space to put notes and thingy but I seldom have cash on me.. my bro even commented that he has more cash than me despite I using such an ex wallet.. ha ha ha.. that’s me.. but I really like my wallet down… 对它爱不释手…

Initially dear refused to tell me what he bought for me.. just told me it’s gonna be a surprise.. but as usual.. I kapo mah.. so turn here, twust there, finally get dear to spill the beans.. but I din know he actually hid it at home.. but he quite smart.. placed it in his parents room.. if it’s in ours, I can surely find it cos I never miss noticing a change in my room… auditor instinct.. ha ha.

Other than the wallet, dear brought me on a cruise.. wanted to choose to go on my bday but there’s specific departure date for the package that we chose.. so have to bring forward the celebration.. but nevertheless, I still enjoyed myself…

Look out for my next blog on the cruise trip =P

21ST CENTURY KIDS ARE SO LUCKY

My colleague booked a chalet at Downtown East for 3 days 2 nights. Reason being his son’s 4th year old birthday… Actual celebration is on Saturday where families & relatives will be attending. US, this grp of colleagues (which consists abt only 8 of us) wanted to avoid the crowd, so we went on Friday night.. KK as the host specially set up the BBQ for us… Turnout in the end was only 4 of us from office. Hari brought his daughter and dear went with me =P

Kids nowadays are so so lucky.. got birthday celebration, not only at home but in chalet.. he got lots of gifts too.. We gals, bought him Lego sets… A big big set some more.. Can tell that he is real happy.. Next time when it’s my baby’s birthday.. think I’ll o up the same thing… Bday celebration here and there.. ke ke ke.. Something to look forward too especially when I quite like this kind of party thingy…

Downtown East changed a lot too since I last went… Now the staying blocks are away from the facilities and you must pay to get into the apartments… real privacy.. Can tell that the facilities also upgraded.. there’s so much shopping outlets there too.. And there are so many kids there.. too..I will bring my baby there too next time..

Next why I say kids nowadays are so lucky =P

ARE YOU BAD?

Was listening to Class 95 one morning.. Topic of discussion is “Are you a bad girl?”.. The DJs invited pple to call in or sms to them to tell them what constitute to a bad girl and are you a bad girl yourself...The answers given by some of the callers are quite interesting.. here they are…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caller / SMS 1 : I’m a bad girl. I always made my parents angry. I talked back and I refused to talk to them whenever I’m angry.
DJs : Nope. That’s not a bad girl.. You are only a naughty child..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caller / SMS 2 : I’m a bad girl. I’ll always get what I want from whomever I wanted. And I’m good at turning people on but don’t give them what they want.

DJs : Well, that seems bad enough..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caller / SMS 3 : I’m a bad girl. Last night, my hubby was supposed to watch soccer until 12midnight but he exceeded his limit. He watched until 1am and left me in the room all by myself. I got so angry that I chased him out of the room and made him slept on the sofa. Now that I think back, I feel so bad.. I think I’m bad…
DJs : Hey, you are not a bad girl. You’re a lousy wife…
XIYAN
Yeah.. got promoted early this yr with 3 other staffs, so decided to give our click a gd dinner.
Went to 喜宴.. it’s a very posh place.. this is how it work there
No of Tables : 6
Minimum No of Pax: 6 per table
Round of Dinner Served : 1
Reservation : It doesn’t serve walk in, so one need to call in advance to book. And as the seating are limited, you have to call early… [I made the booking 3 weeks in advance]
No of Courses : 12 Course Chinese Dishes
It was a nice experience.. Food was quite gd and special….Took some pictures to show you guys..
However, it is a very fine dining experience… And it was a long long dinner too. And expensive too {per pax cost ard S$100 +++]
With each serving of the dish, our dedicated waiter had to explain to us the name of the dishes and what it was made of.. Serving of the food was also one after another… which means if you don’t finish the 1st dish, the 2nd dish will not be served.. Sigh.. I was so hungry that night that my stomach started to complain… But then think I’ll only go there once in a lifetime, so better treasure that experience..
EXTRA ORDINARY SATURDAY
Met up with our best couple friends for supper. Went to this new Hong Kong restaurant that they discovered along Thomson Road, just beside Long Beach… food was not bad & variety was huge…
But quite unlucky that night… sigh…
Was dark ard the place where we parked our car.. din see a hole at the side and there goes my leg into the hole… the hole is not big, so my shoes got caught in between. Next thing I know, I tripped and fell…. Almost flat if not for my hand which I used to support.. before dear realized what happened.. I’m already on the ground.. opps… Suffered quite a no of blue black and bruises on my calves, my ankle and my feet… look very unglam.. 不幸中的大幸… I din sprained my ankle.. but think it’ll still be days away before the bruise subsides.. dear even more 夸张, say next time when i pregnant and i want to walk or move ard, muz ask for permission 1st cos i the kind that is super blur and super clumpsy one.. but then that's me... =P
Another unlucky thing… we got a summon for illegal parking at the road side… though we know it’s our fault but still feel bad abt the fine… again, 不幸中的大幸, there’s no deduction of points and the whole stretch of cars that parked side by side with us suffered the same fate… so the feeling isn’t that bad afterall…
Lucky thing that night for us is that we went shopping in the day and we bought biscuits from Marks & Spencer… one of our favorite plate for snacks.. I also got myself a sports bag… so happy…. And we met up with little Jovin that night too… haven seen her for quite some time and we kinda of miss her.. with LL doing up her hair.. oh, she really looked cute.. she really made us laught especially her attempts to want to everything, including lemon.. look at her sour expression.. she's one adorable child =P
GIRL’S THINGYS
Mabel and Krystine bday just went past… bought cards for them and we decorated the cards with writing and drawing and stickers (compliments from Me & Lina)…
Showed the pics to LY and Pet.. Ly commented.. “you all still quite girly, huh.. all the girly actions.”
Come to think of it, our gals dun really think it’s girly.. I guessed what matter is the thoughts that counts.. on top of bday celebration, we also have our monthly gathering… that’s what friends are for.. to get together to complain abt bosses.. colleagues… to laugh and joke ard…to send funny emails… and all of that is done despite our age differences, our rank in office.... despite the fact that there’s a Mr Sunshine among us (Dennis)… what’s impt is that we’re happy…right???
Felt lucky and happy to come down to WSD one and a half yr ago.. else won’t be meeting these bunch of friends.. and else where would all the funny pics come from =P
BIG CONSIPIRACY
A big conspiracy was brewing for the last couple of days..
It’s Krystine’s bday (which also fall on National Day) and we decided to give her a surprise party..
Plan was formed up and we split into 2 grps to carry out the mission…Grp 1 will be going to Vivo City for a manicure & pedicure session with Krystine. Grp 2 who are not joining them will proceed to “go home as usual” but then halfway will detour to go Vivo City to meet Grp 1.
Itinerary:
5.15 pm : Krystine and Grp 1 left office to go to Vivo City. Grp 2 (which consist of me) will go to act as if we going home but will secretly go to Dennis car to go to Vivo City.
6.00 pm : Grp 2 reach Vivo City but blur me left the bday card in office… ha ha ha… I immediately called up Kumar who is living near Vivo City.. he haven left office yet, so asked him to bring the card for me.. Thanks, handsome Kumar =P He’s our Mr Nice Guy in office, man….
6.15 pm : Grp 2 went to Swenson and discussed our surprise plans with the manager on duty. We would have a reserved table for the 8 of us. Meanwhile, we will booked another table for 4 (Grp 1) just beside the big table. When Grp 1 and Krystine is sitted, Grp 2 will appear with Krystine’s hubby to sing her a bday song and present her a cake…
7.00 pm : Finally, the bday card arrived… decorated the card at Mac.. so now patiently waiting for Grp 1’s manicure session to be done..
8.15 pm : Grp 1 is seated and… here we are… Krystine’s so surprised that she thought it’s for another table and the pple there made a mistake… So funny…
So, the surprise party was a success… MISSION ACCOMPLISHED =P
HORRIBLE KID… HORRIBLE MUMMY
Was driving out to pick dear on Monday evening. I was making my way slowly down the multi-storey car-park, allowing my car to pick up speed & energy…
When I was about to turn down to the 1st floor, a little boy dashed out from the ramp… and it is the ramp where it allowed the cars to higher storey of the car park… My 1st reaction was to stamp the brake.. luckily, in a few minutes, I saw a pair of hands grabbing the boy from behind.. it’s the mummy…
I was scared and I could feel myself turned pale white… however, when I saw the mummy staring at me, my pale face turned dark.. and I stared back…
I could feel the cold eyes of that mummy, reprimanding me that I should keep a look out for her son.. I din think I’m in the wrong, so I stared her back…. Dark, icy stares….i was immediately thinking.. what kind of a mummy she is..
1st, she let her boy roam abt the car park freely… hello, that;s a car park, not a playground
2nd, they are using the upslope ramp meant for cars.. how would I know there will be pple using it to move down the car park.. and by the way, there is staircase by that ramp that is meant for pple… they could have just used that.. if not, why did the govt built those staircase in the 1st place..
3rd, the boy who ran out was not scared at all… in fact, he was laughing away, pointing at me as if he had successfully scared me….
Oh my god.. can’t imagine I encountered this… if the mummy is going to stop me and argued with me, I will give it all out to thrash her.. I never really thrash anyone before but I feel she deserved a good one… a boy let that age if left untaught will grow up to be in worse stage…
LONG TIME SINCE MY LAST BBQ AT EAST COAST
Ah bao organized a bbq for the CL group on Sunday..
Haven been to one for long time.. think the last one is when I’m J2…
In order to be hassle free, we ordered city satay
the food was surprising nice to eat.. the otah.. the honey marinated chicken wing… etc etc etc..
we ordered quite a fair bit, thinking the crowd wld be huge but some of us din turn up.
Juan & Jimmy din come cos they’ve something on & Juan is having a little juan / jimmy soon…congrad gal….
Lin Ling & Wenqiang din come too cos poor jovin is sick…hope she’s feeling better now.. quite some time since I last saw her.. actually missed her =P
All of us had quite a good time…
~ learning how to bbq without wire mesh.. ohh… that’s hot by the way =P
~ contemplating to borrow wire mesh from neighboring bbq pits… etc etc
~ listening to radio 972… for all the oldies… oh my god, some I din hear before still
~ recalling all the previous frenzs that dear have
~ who changes a lot & who don’t
~ and of course, guowei’s update on “girlfriend”….
Last but least, muz say chee leong is an expert at bbq.. not only did he set up the fire, his cooking skills is also wow.. lucky we had him for the bbq… else not sure of the food is cooked if we did it ourselves.. wonder when our next gathering wld be =P
STAFF CARNIVAL … ZOO GETAWAY
My company had its staff carnival on Saturday at the Zoo.. my 1st time attending…
Programs include:
Formula 1 : Not those car racing type using engine.. but those peddle kind.. shiong man
Treasure Hunt : Form grp to start looking for things among the animals..
Telematch : Form grp to jump around in gummy sack
I went but never did any of the above.. Too old for those.. I brought my cousin, Kexin & my aunt there.. they never been to the zoo, so were quite excited.. dear was our driver (Pls applaud for him, ke ke ke).. and my sis tact along to be the entertainer =P
The zoo changed a lot since I last went. Me & dear were quite amazed by it.. of course, the baby is the happiest… if there isn’t free tickets for us, dun think dear & I will go… adult tics is priced at S$15 each and this exclude the tram tickets @ S$5 each… lucky my company has zoo pass cos their friend of the zoo.. next time when our little one come along, we will definitely make use of the pass..
Back to the carnival… it’s a not bad effort but I really can’t stand my company’s uncle & aunties… as there are many freebies given.. many queues were formed to get free ice cream & free lunch… free games… and the queue were freaking long… I got so turned off by the queue that dear & I treated my cousins and the rest to a nice Ben & Jerry ice cream.. yummy yummy…
And this is the 1st time I saw my whole company at one go… oh my god.. look like a malay company.. so many malay staffs came and they brought their “huge” families along.. some even brought roller luggage.. then they went to set up a little kampong along the side for picnic..
We enjoyed ourselves a lot that day.. despite the little drizzle.. took some nice pictures.. I even did up a frame, encompassing lots of photos for my cousin.. my dad & uncle even thought we bought that frame at the zoo.. well, all thanks to me… the creative one =P
