Saturday = Pool Time

I was out on Saturday afternoon with my friends, so Daddy took the bunnies for a swim at the pool... Kiddos + Water = HAPPY

(1) Hmmm, can I shoot Daddy? I think I can...

(3) Ha ha ha, Daddy is wet!!!

I can float? I can trap water? Ha ha ha ha... Gotcha... I am squarting down in the baby pool...

Movie Date with Emmet and Lucy

Last Friday, Dear and I took half day off from work, picked big bunny up at school and off we went for our movie date with Emmet and Lucy.

Hmmm... who is Emmet and Lucy? Our new friends?

They are the male and female leads from the Lego Movie... whom my big bunny loved a lot...

Immediately after the show and many many days after it, big bunny was still humming the song...

"Everything is awesome!"

Indeed, it was an awesome show for the kiddos... But I think, it is even more inspiring for us as parents...  Our take away for the evening after the show...

Home Learning : Body Parts (Round 2)

From the internet, I recently downloaded a body and skeleton template respectively. Still focusing on body parts theme, I cut out the puppet, laminated them and sew them together with thread and needle...

Ta da... movable body and skeleton puppet to teach the big bunny more about body parts...

Hard work which took quite a bit of time due to the sewing, but my bunny loved them so much.. **effort paid off**

Accountants Turned Professional Florists on V-Day...

On V-day in office, we had some fun by turning ourselves from professional accountants to professional florist...

Here's the story... Our male collague who is quite newly-wed was pressurised by the wife to get her a bouquet of flowers... And so he did, from our own canteen... But the wrapping was bleh... We could not bear for the wifey to get such a poor wrapped bouquet of flowers, so then we decided to give him a hand...

From accountants, we transformed ourselves to professional florists, searching our drawers frantically for materials and ta da... a nice bouquet of flowers was borned...

"Wrapped" flowers... bleh... thumbs down for the wrapping...

Not forgetting the labour charges...  

End product.... Not losing to any of the professional florist out in the market... 

After the episode on V-day, the colleagues in office came up with an idea... Maybe we can do this as part of the fund raising next V-day for our Xmas party...

Horse Viewing @ Loyang 大伯公

On the 2nd last day of Chinese New Year, we visited Loyang 大伯公, for prayers as well as to hope to catch a glimpse of the horses that the temple brought in just for this new year.

Free food for all, sponsored by a kind soul... Hokkien mee, prawn noodles, chicken rice, dessert, popcorn to candy floss...

Spore Airshow 2014

Visited Spore Airshow 2014 after managing to obtain complimentary trade pass. Although caught in slight traffic at the entrance to the airshow, still managed to catch the aeriel display. Was in high anticipation of the koreans pilots and their performance, but atlas, it was their rest day when we visited. Nonetheless, the performance was still not that bad. Spent most of the time at the static display and even had the chance to peep inside most of the aircrafts.

Wanna to bring the bunnies to the airshow during public days but drop the idea eventually. Too many worries... worried that little bunny will be too young to understand anything, worried that the boys would not be able to take the heat, worried that the boys will be too cranky due to the huge crowd and the long waiting time to board the bus and go the venue etc etc... Hmmm, maybe Airshow 2016!!!

Home Learning : Body Parts

We covered another theme during the weekday night... Body parts...

On a large piece of paper (from IKEA), I asked big bunny to lie down and then drew his body outline onto the paper. Big bunny was excited as that was his human body outline, so he wrote his name on it to take ownership. Then I printed out all the body parts sight words, both in English and Chinese, and laminated them. I put up the human body outline against his room door. Next, I got big bunny to place the sight words at the correct body parts.

Verdict : Big bunny can now named all the body parts in English and almost all, in Chinese as well. He can recognise simple sight words too like head, hair, eyes, mouth etc... Next up is for him to be familiar with almost all the words... and perhaps after looking at them many times, he can start to spell the words too...
