Supposed to go for my annual medical chk up. I had specially arranged for this morning cos the female doc is only ard on tues and thurs morning... So i reschdueld my work and applied for morning half day..
But when i arrived at the clinic, the nurse said the doc won't be coming in... huh.. wat's that all abt??? the nurses said the doc had immediate errants to run, so she won't be in today.. so wat's is gg to happen to me? the nurses on duty even have the cheeks to say that they are just abt to call me when i walked in... why, they think i'm 3 yrs old kid, easy to bluff....
i'm not angry with the doc for failing to turn up.. but at least, give me a cue... they shld have called me the day before and i could cancelled my leave... waste my leave just like that... hello, i'm not a hse wife who is super free.... they proposed me to take half day again, tom... they think i own the company, is it???
what's wrong with pple in the service industry??
i got so pissed off that i said i'll consider abt the check up again.... they are so so irresponsible.. called dear immediately after i came out of the clinic.. we are going to mention this to the main doc in charge abt this and hope that the doctors & nurses there would change their attitude at work...

Halloween @ Work
My colleagues & I never really celebrated Halloween in my life before... so this yr, we decided to spice things up a little... we decorated our office with poster meant for Halloween... we even hang a ghost on the ceiling...
dear always comment that we got nothing better to do but we simply love this short break from our duties =P
Some colleagues mentioned that the poster is meant to scare off our bosses, so that they won't come near us for numbers or reports... i kinda think the same.. ha ha ha.. aren't we bad employees???
after putting up the posters, the whole bunch of us took turns to take pics with it....making all those funny, ghostly faces....
it's a nice afternoon spent in office....
so so looking forward to x'mas where we can decorate the place again =P

Went out with my JC classmates for dinner few sat ago... last seen them during my wedding... long time never catch up already...
feeling was good as we updated each other with our lives and work.....
Was listening to han, talking abt her work and the kids that she has to deal with.. nothing to comment but have to appluade her .... it's a great get together, though turn out was not really high...

Our Godson
On 10 Oct, we went to KK hospital to visit our newly born godson... He's so adorable.. sleeping quietly in his mummy's arm... He hasn't have a name yet, so we started calling him mini Ho.. cos his daddy's surname is Ho... Mini Ho, borned 10 Oct 2007, am is the precious son of dear's boss, Jazz...
When we reached the ward, it was past visiting hours so we thought we won't have a chance to see the baby. but to our surprise, the baby was sleeping peacefully in Jazz's arms....he really looked like Jazz... when Jazz softly pinched his nose, he would move a little and give us the "don't disturb me lar" look... after which, we don't dare to touch him...
anyway, i don't really dare to touch him... he's so tiny, only the length of Jazz's hand to elbow... i only dare to stroke his tiny face.. he weighed abt 3.465kg... my mum said that's a huge baby cos normal baby shld be abt slightly less than 3 kg or only a bit.... but i looked left and looked right... heh, mini ho isn't big at all... maybe becos all baby are tiny....

TURNING 30…..
22nd Sep is my hubby’s 30th birthday… finally hit 三字头, joining the 30s club… Since dear is hit the big 3 this year, we had a very different celebration too…
Not too long ago, we accepted an invitation from Marriot Vacation Club to attend a seminar on their club membership.
The club is charging only a flat fee for the membership. No need for immediate & once off payment. Entitled to interest-free installments for 10 years. Using this membership, we can access all the hotels under Marriot group (including Ritz Carlton). The deal sounds cool & very tempting until we asked how much does the membership costs.. USD35,000 for lifelong membership… That’s a bit too much for us.. given the fact that I have travel rate for hotel stay when I go overseas and that we are just 2 “poor fellow”.. We didn’t want a 10 years debt, so we turned down the offer…
For attending the seminar, we are offered either a S$200 taka vouchers or a 2D1N weekend stay at Ritz Carlton… never stayed at Ritz Carlton before and dear’s bday is coming, so we opted for the latter.. oh my god, that’s a gd choice we made..
We never stepped foot in Ritz Carlton before, so was damned excited.. On Dear’s 30 years old bday, we checked ourselves in at Ritz Carlton.. We’re given a Kallang Bay View… apart from the bridal suite that I stayed in Hiton, this is the best ever room I stayed in, in my whole life… Published rate for this room is at S$600…. Why in my right mind would I stay here in my normal daily life??
The stay was indeed an eye opener.. look at the view, splendid…there is another view.. the Singapore river view.. but that’s is too expensive for us and our voucher didn’t cater for that.. too bad…
I muz mentioned the bathtub with the window… my colleagues say I muz try it with the blinds open but even if u beat me to death, I won’t do it… my blinds are always down.. only I can see the outside (by peeping through the holes) but no one can see the inside…
There are building across the hotel, and though they are distance apart, I can still “see’ pple from the other building, so chances are that they see me are equally high…
Apart from the nice stay on dear’s birthday, we went to have dear’s favorite food.. which is of course uncle food… which is crystal jade xiao long bao…. That night, we also dropped by Kenko for a wonderful body massage.. Thumb up for all the “life style” we are experiencing =P
Looking forward to more lifestyle enjoyment before any babies come the way =P

WEDDING BELLS
Went to Sam & Julie’s (dear colleague) wedding on 15 Sep 2007 at CHJIMES… 1st time attending wedding dinner there.. Enjoyable night…
CHJIMES’ ball room is beautiful, filled with romantic feeling.. think the mgmt there removed the chairs that are usually there in the day and filled it with tables… the ballroom is a cathedral by day and a function room by night.. though beautiful, me & dear didn’t quite like the setting… we felt that here are so simply too many pillars in the ballroom… luckily I was seated quite near the stage, else would be blocked by the pillars.. the food served also didn’t match up to any standard.. guess becos the food is catered in, so the standard would be quite low.. for dear & me who are food lovers, guess bad food would be a No No in our wedding =P Anyway, we are not really “potatoes”, so CHJIMES would be the last place for us to throw our wedding dinner…
Apart from the place itself, the wedding itself is enjoyable.. we have a very beautiful & sexy bride that night.. with all those plunging neck line and tight fitting gown.. I think even the gals attending the wedding are drooling..
I loved their wedding albums.. in fact, they not only have 1 but 3 albums… the 1st one is taken locally, in CHJIMES… the 2nd & 3rd one is taken in Bali.. nothing can be said abt Bali.. the beach, the greenery and the mountain… it’s simply splendid.. Must have cost them a bomb.. me & dear took 1 album and now it’s sitting at the top of our cupboard.. waiting for our new hse to come, then will display it out once there is space.. dun want to hide our S$3k album…
The 1st DVD montage abt their childhood was also fantastic… loved the work of the professional… That morning when Sam went to pick up Julie, as usual he was tasked to go through a couple of huddles.. Must mention this one cos it’s really funny (and it make me having naughty thoughts going on in me.. ke ke ke) the sisters placed a wax strip on Sam’s legs and tore it off… OUCH… think that would really hurt if we had done this on my dear… I’m imagining dear’s face with the tears rolling down… so funny…
I loved haapy occasion… so looking forward to many more… =P

MY GRANNY
Granny came to visit us recently from Malaysia. Last time I saw her was during my wedding in Nov last year.. Long time haven seen her already..
Got ready an ang bao for her back then during CHY, but we din get to meet, so the ang bao was left in a corner in my drawer.. so when granny finally turn up, dear & me couldn’t wait to give her the ang bao.. wanna make her happy too…
We visited her the 1st day she arrived.. gave her the ang bao.. supposed to be a joint effort by me & dear.. but after thanking us, she went ard telling other relatives that her grand son-in-law is very gd to her and very generous.. omg, I’m so jealous… it’s the boy girl thingy with the old folks again..
On Sunday, we went Dian Xiao Er for dinner.. Dad & mum suggested bringing granny out for a gd dinner.. Daddy & mummy said that they will pay for the dinner but usual practice, they would asked dear to swipe his credit card 1st to earn points.. so there’s nothing special or unusual abt the dinner
All was fine until dear stood up to go to the counter to pay and the rest of us decide to wait at the entrance for dear.. my granny walked up to him and thank him for the delicious dinner… dear was shocked… the rest of us were happily laughing away.. see the different treatment a guy get vs a gal… even my cousin thank dear for the dinner…
Dear was immediate in clarifying the misunderstanding.. dun want to earn such points.. high stress level.. wait target also higher. Ha ha ha… the scene was really funny.. too bad u’re not ard to witness it.. I wonder what will happen if I’m the ine swiping my credit card =P

TEENAGERS NOW VS TEENAGERS THEN
Recently had a very interesting conversation with my sis-in-law…
Her friends are encouraging her to do a make over i.e. change her hairstyle.. throw away the spectacles and wear contact lenses… straightened her teeth.. change her dress sense etc etc
Hello, you teenagers out there should be concentrating in your studies and not abt appearing to be super pretty.. Reasons quoted by teenagers nowadays.. if you don’t make over, you can’t find boyfriend and you can’t get married… Huh????
If this is the case, I should invite everybody to come and congratulate me… cos I found my dear and I got married even without having to go through the above make over..
For heaven sake, why are teenagers going to find so much $$ for the above… as usual, just ask parents for it… they never knew how hard earned the parent’s $$ is.. just spend & spend..
One advice for all teenagers out there..
If you guys want anything, earned it yourself…
Oh, and I don’t think that you need makeover to find true love.. if a guy/ girl go for your look.. then they may go after someone better looking than you in the future too…

I’M 26 YEARS OLD
My birthday this year falls on a Monday.. Initially I had no plans to take leave cos dear is busy with running his target and I dun want to disturb him… But to my surprise, he volunteered the day off.. so the 2 of us left our work behind and went for holiday…
Went to Lifespa that afternoon… tried out Swedish massage.. only 1 word to describe.. SHIOK….
But the shiok feeling come with consequence for me.. blue black ard my legs… but nevertheless, I still enjoy the session a lot..
After spa, we went shopping in Orchard in the afternoon… Can’t believe it when I actually see some crowd at shopping centre on a Monday afternoon… but then it is never as much as those on weekend.. so we quite enjoyed ourselves… Bought couple of things too…

BDAY BASH… SURPRISE VS NO SURPRISE
My colleagues threw a surprise bday lunch for me & another 2 frenzs whose bday falls In September too. They had actually planned it quite some time without us knowing it and they had planned to have the surprise during our monthly grp outing.. but something cropped up and the grp outing was postponed indefinitely…That day, we reserved a table at our company café. After lunch, Dennis appeared with a cake.. none of us knew that… what’s more surprising is that the cake has our pics on it… the 3 September babies were so touched…each of us even received a giant bday card (seem like big is the in thing now =)
My boss secretary even went to buy 4D,using our birth date.. 3713… ha ha ha..
We truly have a very nice time next day.. there are some more pics on the way on this day… so cross your fingers..
My family oso celebrated my day on Sunday.. they had meant it to be a surprise but dear leaked the secret out to me =P However, there is no surprises one in my family cos when my bday is near, I will go ard telling them that my bday is coming [ha ha ha.. very thick skinned hor]…My family is just liked that..
Received birthday ang pao from parents and had a jelly cake… tks sis & bro for the cake.. won’t forget u guys when your bday is near =P
