Hong Kong Trip Part 2

Hong Kong Trip (28th May 2011 to 01st June 2011) - Part 2
Day 2 : Yum Cha + MongKok Centre + Sports Street + Ladies Street

Location : Outside Langham Place Hotel, MongKok, Dao Xiang Chinese Restaurant
Decided to go for yum cha on Day 2… My frenzs at work recommended a Dao Xiang Chinese Restaurant (Good & Cheap !!!) and we spotted this near our hotel during our 1st night at HKD…

When we reached abt 10am, it was very crowded… We started queuing like the rest, only to realize 15mins later that it was a Sunday, and hence explaining the crowd… But we soon gotta a seat…

Dear took the pleasure of ordering on behalf and guessed what, he ordered a total of 24 dishes of dim sum… When I looked further at what he ticked off, I almost fell off my chair… 3 plates of Char Siew Bao… 3 Char Siew Bao per plates which means that we ordered 9 Char Siew Bao… @_@lllllllllll

Immediately, I told dear to cancel some of the dishes he ordered and luckily he did… In the end, we only had 14 dishes (down by 10 dishes)… We were full to the max but very satisfied…

No picture on yum cha though =(
Cos Kaden was being cranky and refused to let me have my brunch in peace… let along take pictures…
Maybe a trip No 2 to HKD with Kaden again… (*** hint… Dear, pls take note if you are reading this ***)

Location : MongKok Centre + Sports Street
After yum cha, we decided to make our way back to the Hotel cos we noted that Kaden looked tired as he had woken up that morning at 7.30am… We are actually being “naughty” (** we are hoping that Kaden could be asleep and let my in-laws look after him for a while, while me & dear can go to MongKok Centre for a “mini shopping getaway”… We are lucky as things really went according to plan…

So not too soon, we are actually on our way to MongKok Centre + Sports Street… Din buy too much things though as we could not try on the items… I bought a top, some ear rings, some belts… And dear got himself a track pants… We thought we could move on to the Ladies Street when the phone rang… Sigh, our “mini shopping getaway” was really mini... Only lasted abt 1.5 hrs… My FIL called to say Kaden had woken up from his sleep and was looking for me… Without any delay, we started to make our way back to the Hotel…

When we exited the Hotel lift at our floor, we saw my IL sitting outside the lobby, with Kaden… Kaden was eating his lollipop, with tears in his eyes… When he saw me, he immediately wanna me to carry… He seemed to know that I had “abandoned” him to go shopping… I tell you, it was hell break loose after that… Since then, I think Kaden is too afraid to let me out of the sight and inserted that Dear and me took turn to carry him…

Location : Ladies Street

Shortly after the crying episode, we made our way to Ladies Street… Finally, some shopping for Mummy Ting...

But it was tiring as Kaden refused to walk by himself, and insisted that Dear & I took turn to carry him…

Though we carried Kaden through and from Ladies Street, we still managed to make some purchases…

For Mummy Tng - Bought a ear-rings stand, this time slimmer but taller, just nice for the empty space beside my wardrobe
For Daddy Wei - Bought some “Hong Kong” T-shirts for casual wear at home
For Kaden - A set of Chinese costume + a set of Barcelona Jerseys + a toy mike

We even managed to catch a drink at HKD local fast food restaurant…

Location : Langham Place Mall
We ended the day with a nice Chinese dinner at Langham Place Mall… Yummy….

P/s : No pictures for viewing as this is SHOPPING DAY…. Too busy 买东西, 吃东西, 买东西, 吃东西… ke ke ke
