Chinese New Year @ Chinatown

Last weekend before CNY, we visited Chinatown Festive Streets... Before braving the streets, we went to Chinatown Point and settled down for dinner at Genki Sushi... This is probably the highlight of the day even as compared to the festive street itself...

Genki Sushi... Most high technologied restaurant we have seen and visited so far and boy, not only Dear and I were impressed... our big bunny was equally amazed and requested to visit the restaurant again the next day...

Ordering food??
No raising your hand to attract the attention of the waiter... Ipad is at your service...

Hmmm... how is food served?
Apart from drinks, all foods are served via Formula cars on tracks located beside the table...
Cool, right?

Sushi plates... no more counting and clearing by the staff...
Demo : After clearing the food on the plate, please drop it off at the plate drop off corner

Special booster seats for the kiddos... Yes, this seat is hanging from the table top... Impressive...

After dinner, we made our way to the festive street... Start of the street is alright... Less crowded and little bunny can still walk by himself with me holding his hands... As we advanced to the centre of the streets where the vendors are selling the food, oh my gosh, the crowds became so much that we ended up carrying the boys and forcing our ways out of the streets...

Worried that we will lost contact with each other, we also bought helium balloons for the boys... Turned out to be a good choice... In the end, we strolled 2 streets of the festive streets and decided to call it off for the day... Too shacked from the carrying a 10kg and 15kg boys in our arms and the need to force our way through...

But we did do some CNY shopping (jelly, cushions etc) amid the crowd... Pat on our shoulders...
