Hong Kong Trip Part 1

Hong Kong Trip (28th May 2011 to 01st June 2011) - Part 1
Day 1 : SGD to HKD
Location : Changi Airport, Terminal 3
These were both Kaden’s and my in-laws 1st time taking an airplane. Everybody were excited… Especially my MIL who woke up at 4.30am to bath and to start preparing. At about 8am, she started to knock at our bedroom door as well (my alarm clock hasn’t even gone off yet)…

We left the house abt 10.15am, and reached T3 at abt 10.45am. (We were very early cos our flight was at 1.30pm) Check-in was a breeze, and soon we were relaxing at a corner at Coffee Bean, having our brunch.

Met Peiling & her family at T3… the world is really small… Her MIL was gg back to China, with her nephew… And both of them were sitting right behind us as well, on the plane..
Location : Inside SQ866, B777
The plane ride was fine except towards the end…

Kaden fell asleep right after boarding the plane… We took the stewardess’ advice and placed Kaden in the bassinet. Kaden was way too tall for it as his legs are dangling outside the bassinet.

He was sleeping so soundly until the seat belt sign came on… Sigh, there is some slight turbulence half way through the flight and we needed to carry Kaden up from the bassinet. And this woke him up from his sleep, leaving him an “angry” baby… We tried every means to pacify him (raisin, toys, cartoon etc…) and luckily that worked.

As Kaden was awake, Dear & I took turn to have our lunch on board. Kaden refused to let me have mine initially. That was until the “ICE CREAM” appeared. When he saw the ice cream cone on the stewardess’ hand, you could see him beaming away. Even the stewardess could notice the glee in him. Finally, I could have my lunch in peace…

Towards the end of the flight, the pressure seemed to be building up in Kaden’s ear. He was always “digging” his ears and he started to cry and refuse to settle down. Out came our secret weapon : Lollipop… Finally, Kaden was appeased.

The flight out from SGD to HKD ended successfully =D
Location : Hong Kong Airport
We waited in long, long queue to clear the custom and while waiting, we started to compare the 2 airports. Our airport is still, by far the best that we ever went to.

No much difficulty to locate the counter for our local transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Service at the counter was excellent. Free drinks + Free bell services from counter to the carpk + Welcome gift. Transfer to the hotel was a breeze. It was so comfy that Kaden fell asleep during the ride and woke up only at 8pm later in the hotel room.
Location : Langham Place Hotel, MongKok
Check in at the Hotel was fast…
Service was good.
Hotel room, itself was even better.
I will let the pictures do the talking…

Location : Outside Langham Place Hotel, MongKok, 太兴Restaurant We had a late dinner as Kaden woke up only at 8pm. We settled down at a Chinese restaurant, called 太兴 near our hotel. We saw quite a number of locals queuing, so we thought, how bad it could be… Indeed, we made the right decision.

We ordered the BBQ pork + veg + egg with prawn & tomato. All I can say is “YUMMY” (Dun drool while watching the pictures =D)
