Sigh... Dear is having his 2 weeks ICT now... He stayed in yesterday night and tonight cos having some firing thingy in Lim Choa Kang..=( I'm back in mummy place.. Missing him a lot.. Bed feels so big and empty without him...
He'll be back on Friday.. Then going in again on Sunday night ** sob sob** after which I'll only get to him on Wednesday.. He's going to Pulau Tekong for exercise... Hope there's at least mobile connection there... else =(
Yesterday night when dear is not ard, I watched my CSI and started clearing our files at the same time.. at least busy busy, and i won't get bored... Not bad, packed everything nicely into files.. =P
Though dear will be staying in most of the times for this ICT, there is one lucky thingy abt it too... The only lucky thing from this ICT is that it'll be one of his last few.. dear cleared most of his high key ICT while he is in sch and in his early years of work.. yippe...
Can't wait for dear to come back on Friday.. So much things to do on wkend... Will be meeting our ID on Saturday to discuss our 3D design & to choose materials... will be shopping ard for lights (for our dining table) and washing machine and dryer.. will also be visiting our best couple pals at Bishan.. Jus in case, anyone wondering why we visiting them... Ling jus gave birth to baby Jovan.. Congrat, pals =P Can't wait to introduce ourselves to him.. one uncle and one jie jie.. ha ha ha... of course, we missed Jovin dearly too =P

Condition of New House
Did a chk of my new place with my Interior Designer.. No bad.. Defects were not as much as I think there would be.. My ID went through all the areas and told us that we were quite lucky.. Workmanship quite well done..
Though there are scratches on the bedroom floor and some areas of the wall were not so smooth, my ID suggest that we dun report them.. Cos eventually, it is in my reno contract that my ID have to polish my bedroom floors, acid clean the whole place and do up all the feature wall.. After all is done, dun think can see all the defects..
Read from the forum that some of the bedroom floor is hollow.. din have that kind of prob.. Me & Zann stepped through every single piece and found all of them satisfactory =P
I guessed I'm pretty lucky.. Reported the defects to HDB already.. Now waiting for them to clear the area.. Meanwhile, had applied to HDB to carry out hacking.. Then my reno can start.. Yippe =P

Did all the usual praying before going into the hse.. Love the place... Unit was bigger than what I expected it to be.. location of unit was gd too.. Even my ID commented this is one of the best layout in this area ***Grin Grin** Can't wait to move in, in Apr =P

Electrical applicances shopping
Went on a purchasing spree last Saturday to buy electrical applicances for my new house.. So exciting...
1st stop is Sim Siang Choon ("SSC").. Loved the place immediately cos it is like a one stop service centre for kitchen and bathroom equipment.. Dear and I found all the things we liked.. We are not those kind that loved to shop from shops to shops to buy things.. so this place is perfect for us.. And not to mention that services was very gd there.. we were left to roam abt ourselves, taking notes abt the things we want.. then a sales staff will attend to us to go through the things we selected.. There, she will give us advice and opinion... We loved the purchase procedure there...
Bought lots of things from there.. Our kitchen sink + tap, our rain shower set, our MBR sink + tap and our bathroom water heater storage and hood & hob... However, only pd 30% of the total amt.. Dear wanted to pay up in full but the staff discouraged us to do so.. Reason being there will be the presence of flexibility of changing or delecting our purchased items.. So honest in doing biz... We were quite impressed.. Will be making another trip now in abt few weeks time to settle the balance.. By then, we wld know whether there will be any changes to the things that we bought... Meanwhile, we will draft out a list of bathroom and kitchen accessories that we need... Will be getting them from SSC too when we make our 2nd visit there =P
After SSC, we proceed to IKEA for dinner.. Yap, not for shopping but for dinner.. Were are in love with the Swedish food there since last visit, so why not have dinner there, since we are already in the East.. =P
2nd stop is Courts Mega Store.. Loved the place oso.. So huge and has so many things.. We actually knew what we wanted, so we got a sales staff to attend to us.. Courts is having mega sales now.. Things are really going cheap.. Given the budget that we set initially, we managed to upgrade the TV set in our living room from 32 inches to 37 inches.. TV set in our bedroom from 26 inches to 32 inches... and got ourselves the latest home theatre system... and all that comes with free wall mounting and installation.. Clap clap clap.. So happy...
In addition to the audio system, we got ourselves a fridge and our k sized mattress.. so happy... tentative delivery is 2 week of apr.. hope my reno can be done by then =P here's some of the things i bought... happy previewing....

Airshow 2008
Finally, I visited Airshow 2008 with my colleagues this morning.. Took the internal shuttle bus to the venue abt 1030am.. The venue is quite isolated this time round, so traffice condition + distance took us abt 20 to 25min to reach the place.. Registration was pretty fast cos I pre-registered myself online prior to the event.. Just the sms barcode from my handphone and I'm into the area..
Went to look at the aircraft display 1st.. Shiok.. 1st time so near all those fighter planes.. Pet even took me to spoke to one of the US F-15 navy pilot and the nice, cute ang moh brought us around, telling us all abt the F-15, into the restricted zone....
Pet and I also explored the private jets known as the gulfstream.. super luxurious planes.. The 1st one that I went to can hold a capacity of 6 pax.. the 2nd one can hold abt 16 to 18pax.. The 2nd one is so powerful that it can fly to US non stop in 12hours.. wow.. wow.. wow... We went in to see the interiors... Fine wood... comfy seats which is rotatable as well, spacious dining table, LCS screens, nice bathing area.. No wonder they are luxurious.. Heard from Pet that the 1st one wld costs abt S$8Mil while the 2nd one will fetch abt S$15Mil...
Hmm... where did the rich men got all their money from...
After the aircraft display, we went to see the aircrafts acrobats.. Yap.. again.. This time round, we had an unblock view.. Can see all the "高难度" action.. So excited.. Took lots of photos... Here are some of them.. Enjoy =P

Aircraft Acrobats 2008
Singapore Airshow is currently up at Coastal Road, somewhere near to where I worked.. It is Asia's largest aerospace and defence event, is a joint venture between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Defence Science & Technology Agency. It is one of the top three air shows in the world and serves as a global marketplace and networking platform for the military and civil aviation community. Singapore Airshow 2008 will be held from 19 to 24 February 2008.
I’ll be dropping by the airshow tom.. Last day of the trade fair.. But before that, I already had gotten a preview of the Aerobatic Flying Displays.. from the 10th floor of my office building…Included in the flying display are the Black Knights and F-16 pilots from the Republic of Singapore Air Force…

Gambling Night
Visited Sam (dear colleague)’s house on Sunday evening in Bedok..
The hse is huge.. It is a 3 storey high.. They called this kind of hse as town house cos it has both the characteristics of a landed property as well as a condominium.. The hse is standing by itself, so it is like that of a landed property… But Sam has 4 other neighbors, living beside him.. the 5 units form a cluster and shared the parking slots and also a common swimming pool in front of the units..so like condominium style too…They spent quite a bit on renovation too… but I muz say the place really looks expensive…There are 4 bedrooms in the house.. one for Sam’s parents.. the other for him & Julie.. One for the brother and the last one for the sister and her family who occasionally will be sleeping in.. Hmm.. so in future, where does Sam’s kids sleep? Ke ke…Just a thought..
Focus of the night was not Sam’s hse.. I just found it nice so thought of sharing… Limelight of the night was asset restructuring session.. A.k.a. gambling time.. Pls pardon the banker language.. they were even going to bring out funds transfer form that night…
We started off the night with blackjack.. I din played cos I dun wan to dilute dear’s winning.. (** High hopes **)….Dear won a bit from there.. all in denominator of 2 bucks… There was a time when dear got a blackjack…his only time too… then the banker got 15points.. So all void.. Damn it… After a while, we started to play In Between… which I can is more exciting…
This is how the game goes.. Every one will contribute $2 to the common pot… Then we go 1st round distributing Card A.. Then 2nd round, distributing Card B.. starting from the 1st person.. After receiving both Card A & B, faced up.. the person is to choose whether to pick Card C.. Rule of the game is that Card C must be any number between Card A & Card B… If Card A & B is very close by, the player can choose to void that game.. If the player decide to play, he will call out an amount within the common pot of $$, say S$50 .. If Card C is opened, revealing a number between Card A & B, the player can withdraw S$50 from the pool… If Card C is not within Card A & B and does not equal to Card A & B, the player will lose S$50 and this amt will be contributed to the common pot.. If the player draws Card C and Card C hit the pole (I.e. is equal to either Card A or B), the player has to contribute double to the common pot, in this case S$100…
The game started on high note with one of dear colleague having Queen and As as his 2 pole cards…We thought it is not difficult to get a card that ranges from 2 to Jack… So we “encouraged” him to call out all the amt in the common pot which is S$26… He thought he can collect the $$ but when the 3rd card is flipped open… all of us fell off the chairs.. Card 3 is a Queen.. So instead of winning S$26, he contributed S$52 instead… That’s not all.. the same thing happen to him twice in a roll…No luck huh… Another colleague’s hubby even worse.. got a Kings and 2… Thought it will be easy to get anything from 3 to Queen.. SO he called out S$118….which is the total amt in the common pot… When the 3rd card is flipped open… all of our jaws dropped… he got an As… The game took his height when the pot of $$ got bigger… It was a fun and exciting game…
Luckily for us, dear won quite q fair bit… S$120….ke ke ke.. that’s the combined power and luck of snake and rooster.. I supposed next gambling session will be in 2009…. Hope winning streak still continue… Huat Ah… Ke ke ke

Keys collection date is set... 26 Feb 2008...
Hurray... We got our appt date to collect the keys to our love nest... Finally... Phew
I guessed things really worked after my "夺命连环" calls went out.. I called loan dept early this morning and asked abt my loan status.. Told them that they were supposed to get back to me.. After a while (guess they were chking their system), the officer told me my loan is processed and approved. Immediately, I chked my E-services and found my status to be updated.. It was on 28Feb...
I was contemplating of changing it to 22nd, so I called my CSO.. Sigh.. no more vacancy... Was told to wait till end of the day for her to get back to me.. Me, being very auntie, was thinking.. No fish, prawn also can.. If no 22nd, at least got 26th.. still better than 28th... so i changed my appt date online... To 26th Feb.. Luckily i did that.. Cos the 26Feb got no m0re morning slot after I amended mine... That evening, my CSO called me back and said really no more vacancy.. SIgh, no choice already... Guessed dear has to take time off from his ICT... Hope he can do it =P
Now am crossing my fingers.. Hope someone changed their appt date and free up any dates between 20th to 22nd.. Then I can change mine... I'll be watching =P
