Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 7]

Last full day in HongKong, we visited Ocean Park... This is Dear and I 2nd visit to the Park, while it is the 1st for our bunnies...

Bright and early, we took the MTR to the bus interchange, waited for our turn to buy tickets and in no time, we boarded the Ocean Park City Bus to Ocean Park...

We 1st visited the park in 2004 and gosh, Ocean Park changed a lot.. In terms of facilities, rides and place, there were so much more improvements... Only set back were the bleh shows which we thought cannot make it... The place was also not as crowded which is a super plus point for us, with kids... Even the queue to the photo session with the mascot took a nerely 10 to 15minutes each.. Thumbs up...

The kiddos loved it at their 1st visit too... Especially the kids corner, with all the kiddy rides and the playground... We din try any adult rides this time though... Maybe next time when we are back, with the kids grown up, we can afford to do it as a family.. ke ke ke... Well, we will definitely be back...

On our way to Ocean Park...

Posing with the deco at the entrance...

With Mr. Shark...

With Professor Turtle...

Do we look like the kissing fishes... ha ha ha...

Carousel time... And I got to ride alongside with little bunny this time, instead of standing beside him...

With the Mascot...

After the birds' show, posing with the parrots and making a donation to build a house for the parrots...

Kiddy rides time at the kiddy land...

Fun with the slides... And finally little bunny can ride down the slide himself...

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Penguins...

The "Ng" ladies posing with the polar bears...

Mummy, can I bring home the panda?

Mummy, if you dun buy me the panda, how about the penguins?

Cable car ride back to the entrance...

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 6]

Day 3 in Hongkong, Dear just recovered from his fever, so we decided to spend it free and easy and relaxing....

Eat... Shop... Eat...
The day started with us having dim sum at the famous 添好运.... Food was really good and cheap... But the important thing is, no queuing... YEAH!!!
After lunch, we followed the crowd and took the bus to visit Mongkok, Ladies Street and Langham Place... After shopping, we ended at having dinner at one of the restaurant at Langham Place... Then it's hotel sweet hotel for us...

Our fruitful lunch at 添好运

Happy bunnies with the grandparents...

@ Mongkok, enjoying an ice cream from the mobile ice cream van...

Big bunny hard at work before dinner... learning about HongKong MTR system..

Our dinner...

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 5]

What is visit to HongKong without a visit to Disneyland?

On our 2nd day in HongKong, we visited Disneyland. Dear developed a fever the night before, hence we decided that he will rest in the hotel. My parents, sister, siste-in-law and myself then went ahead to bring the 2 bunnies to Disneyland via MTR. It was actually a first for us as the last time we came, we took private transport.

Verdict:
The place was still as nice, though hot... The disney characters still made me and my bunnies went crazyyyy over them...

But, but, but... the place had became much more crowded since we were there 3 years ago... so much more tourists, especially from neighbouring countries... And I din even went on a weekend or a public holiday...

Photo taking with the characters... I used to be able to take photos with all the disney characters as the queues were short and they were pretty fast moving... Fast foward to now, omg, I actually had to queue 45minutes each just for a photo with Chip and Dale and Mickey Mouse... Taking the rides... were even worse... 45min to 1hr for the parachuting... 30min for the dog ride... 1hr for dumbo, the flying elephant... And to think that I even met unreasonable tourists (you know where they are from) who always loved to jump queue... Grrrrr....

End of the day, we spent most time queuing and with 2 kids in tow, we din even finish the whole park... Will I visit HongKong Disneyland again? Well, maybe... But to be honest, I am more keen to the ones in Japan and even in USA... I'm counting down for my bunnies to grow up a little more, so that I can venture further...

Posing with Chip and Dale..

Posing inside Disneyland... with the village chief and the balloons...

Break for lunch to fill our tummies before queuing again...

Our lunch!!!

Queuing again... this time for shows...
Can you spot the "before and after" thingy in these photos?

All "WANTED-bes" in the house...

Opps, not tall enough for the ride... Then let's have some fun with the water...

Finally, a photo with Mickey and Minnie, where we queued for almost close to an hour...

Soldiers on standby for parachuting...

Posing with the characters from Toy Story...

Yes, SIR... we are real!!! No wonder, little bunny kept looking at them...

THIS IS IT.... Toy Story Land... We had been there and done it... CERTIFIED!!!

The shortest queue we had... with Tinklebell...
Because we spotted the Disney staffs putting up the barricades and started queuing even before crowd came... hence we are No 2 in the line...

With Dumbo, the Flying Elephant...

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 4]

Time flies and by mid day, we were seated comfortably in the car, on the way to HongKong... It was almost close to dinner time, when we reached and settled down at Ovolo Hotel, Hongkong...

Hotel was like heaven as compared to that of the one in China... The rooms were all well lit, clean and modernized... The view from the room at 19th and 20th floor was also breath-taking... Not only were we impressed with the rooms, we were also taken aback by the services... The wifi was totally free and most importantly, FAST... Imagine, me and dear were able to watch our online streaming drama series in the hotel... The hotel also offered complimentary in room bar (chips and drinks and beer) as well as a complimentary snack corner at the reception, which is my bunnies' all time fav...

We took up two units of family suite. Each family suite contained 3 bedrooms, with 2 of them having a king sized bed each and 1 of them having a single bed..  With a total of 6 bedrooms, we had quite a funny sleeping configuration..

Family Suite No 1 :
Bedroom 1 and 2 with king sized bed : Dear and his parents respectively
Bedroom 3 with the single bed : My sis in law

Family Suite No 2 :
Bedroom 1 and 2 with king sized bed : My parents and myself with little bunny respectively
Bedroom 3 with the single bed : My sister with big bunny

The location of the hotel was also good... Imagine waking up in the morning and finding yourself in the middle of the clothes wholesale market.. ke ke ke...

The overall accommodation was a thumb up for all family members... For all we know, we might come back again when we next visit HongKong...

Our 赞 hotel!!!

Our simple dinner at a restaurant near to the hotel...

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 3]

3rd day at Guangzhou, in the day, we visited Chime Long Safari Park... This is the Safari Park where the casts "爸爸去哪儿" filmed their movie at...

Chime Long Safari Park (长隆野生动物世界)
Early in the morning, we arrived at the Safari Park... 1st we embarked on their Safari on wheels to get up close and personal with the wild animals... This is also the movie set where "爸爸去哪儿" was filmed... We could see the animals running wildly beside our tram as well as the five little huts where the daddies and their kiddos stayed at during the filming... However, due to safety reason, we were not allowed to get off the tram...

One memorable scene while on Safari on Wheels...

Mummy : Kaden, look... Mummy's friend is in front...
Kaden : Huh, your friend? Is it chicken?
Mummy : @_@ |||||||||||||    No......... it's lion...

Mummy 0 vs Kaden 1

After the Safari on wheel, we proceeded to roam the park by foot.. We visited the pandas, the koalas, the elephants and many many more animals... We even had lunch beside the pandas, which make me wonder, why did I pay to see panda in Singapore and I only get to see either their ass or their video footage via a TV... ke ke ke..

Inside the park, there is also a kid play area where all the fun rides are free... The bunnies had many rounds on it and they simply loved the park...

Anything that I will miss about Guangzhou? I guess this Safari Park will make it top on the list...

Tickets to the Safari Park...

Photos with the "casts" of "爸爸去哪儿"... Can you spot the smiley bunnies...

The wheels on the tram go round and round...Safari on wheels...

Feeding time... for the elephants...

When night falls, we make our way across the other end of the Chime Long premises to get ready for the Chime Long International Circus show "魔幻传奇II"... we spent a bit more and secured the VVIP seats, which is the 1st row Show was very impressive... So impressive that we have minimal photos as all our eyes are on the show.. Yes, including the bunnies...

One memorable scene while watching the circus... whenever there are scenes involving fire or heat, little bunny will automatically take my hands to cover his eyes.. When the "hot" scenes are over, he will remove my hands and continue watching the show again.. So adorable...
