I became a stay at home mummy.... 

Only for 1 day.... 

when we decided to send our old maid back to the agency...

Things din turn out well with the maid, hence the change... 

For that day as a SAHM, I happily bathe the bunnies and prepared them for school...

Right : I brought Mummy on a boat ride... The boat is long and Mummy and I were sitted at the end of the boat...

One weekend night, I drove to the MRT station to pick Dear up from his company event with the 2 bunnies... In the car...

Big Bunny : Mummy, cannot. Now is not spelling time. It is car sitting time...

The bunnies started playing by themselves at the back of the car...
Daddy and Mummy started to chit chat on their own...

Big Bunny : Mummy, you cannot talk... Girls are supposed to quiet!!

School Bus or School Bus Not?

This is the 3rd year my bunny is taking a school bus to school. No major hipcups in the 1st 2 years. In fact, the bus driver uncles are nice and the bus attendant aunites are caring towards my bunny. My bunny also likes and respects them alot.

But... things are not the same anymore...

2013, 30th Dec...
The school posted a statement on FB saying the current school bus operator is asking for a ridiculous price hike and hence they are going to change an operator. The school also advised us that the new bus operator will contact us within the next 2 days, latest by 1st Jan 2014 so that school can start without fail on 2nd Jan...

2014, 1st Jan... 10pm at night
We received news the day before from someone claiming to be a bus driver with regards to the drop off timing for my bunny. I asked him about the pick up schedule but he told me it will be a different driver hence the new driver will contact me shortly. The day before school commence, at 10pm, no news from either the bus driver or the bus operator. Checked my FB accounts and realised that lots of parents in same scenarios as me.

The school posted another statement on FB saying if details on pick up is not received, parents have 2 options: To send the kids to school themselves, or let the kids miss school on both 2nd and 3rd and only resume school on 6th when the logistics issue is settled... Huh!

Dear and I concluded... We will let the big bunny skipped school on Thu and Fri then...

2014, 2nd Jan... 2 hours before school commence
I received a call from someone claiming to be a bus driver who is in charge of pick up..

Bus uncle: "Hello.. Mrs Lim, is your boy going to school today?"
Me: "Well, that depends on whether he got transportation to school anot! No one called me before... But if you picking him up, I will let him attend school"
Bus uncle: "Okie, I will come pick your boy up. In one hour time. To wait at the road side."
Me: "Okie..."

So off we prepare and pack our big bunny to school..

Meanwhile, while nearing school dismissal times, I saw from FB that some parents are commenting that their kids in the morning session haven't reach home yet. Some were as late as 4 to 5 hours. When called the bus operator, the kids' name are on the list but they are physically not there. Panic parents went around frantically looking for their kids, only to discover that they had either boarded the wrong bus or they are detained in school as they had miss their appointed bus.

Naturally, I was worried hence I decided to be a P.I for an hour.... to go to school, wait for my boy to be dismissed and trailed behind him and his school bus until he successfully reached home.

End of the day, my bunny made it successfully to and from school via the correct school bus and quite on schedules (only +- 15minutes). Lucky us.

That same night, the school issued another statement. School close for all on Friday, 3rd for them to assess what went wrong and to go through the logistics again. So drama.

My big bunny is naturally very happy about this unplanned holiday.

2014, 4th Jan... at night...
I received a call from the school, informing us that school will not commence till 8th, Wed. The school had reviewed the school bus issue and had decided to revert back to the old school bus operator. At the same time, the school bus operator had also accepted to lower the % of bus fare hike for the parents.

2014, 8th Jan...
My bunny went to school... All is well with the school bus... Same drivers as the previous year... On time buses...

2014, 15th Jan...
All went well with the school bus schedule... But parents were only informed by the school that there will be a price hike of absolute amount of $10-$15 per kid... Exact school fee payable still unknown...

That same evening, my bunny brought home his school bus card... Price hike for the journey is at $15, which is almost 16% from prior year.. sigh.. so much..

To conclude...
Nothing for me to complain about as the price hike is within the range advised by the school and my bunny does go to school and reach home on time and safely.. But I guessed I am one of the lucky parent... Read from FB that some parents received price hike as much as $30 to $40, which is way higher than what the school communicated and it came to an extend that some parents decided to fetch their kids to and from school...

If you ask me, the school bus fare is indeed expensive but this is something that we had cater for in our budget and is still within the range communicated by the school... And we really like how our bunny had become more independent... he had also enjoyed the bus ride alot... Him taking the school bus can also free up lots of time for my in-laws with the logistics...

So to conclude.. why not... and not why i should not... =)

Welcome 2014

A brand new year… What to expect??

Of course, it is for everyone that I love to be always happy and be at the best of their health… Specially for my hubby… to excel in work and fly high in your career (but of course, not at the expense of health and family time) Specially for my bunnies… to love attending school, to explore and learn as many new things as possible and to love one another…

On a side note, hope I will continue...

(1) To maintain the regular update my blogs

(2) To continue to work on my 35 before 35 lists

(3) To take as many photos of my bunnies as possible

(4) To create as many home learning opportunities as possible for my bunnies

Little Explorer Xmas Party on 20th
The mummies from big bunny’s speech & drama class came together and organized a X’mas party for the little ones this year… The kiddos had lots of fun with the toys from the little host, as well as the D.I.Y games we, mummies came up with… And not forgetting the prizes… It was a night where the kiddos definitely feel… the night is still young… =D

Finance Party on 22nd
Visited a colleague’s place in the West… It is a house warming cum Christmas Party… Didn’t have any photos for this party as Mummy is real busy… Busy protecting my little bunny from the host’s very enthusiast dog that made my little bunny teared as it kissed him at first sight… Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable party as the bunnies are happy with the presents that they received during the party

Annual CLDDs Xmas Party on 24th

This year, we attended our annual CLDDs Christmas Party on X’mas eve at House of Js (again… positively =D)… The adults really loved the spacious house and the kiddos loved the toys the little hosts had… The adults even loved how the toys are taking up the attention of the kiddos and the adults can be left some quiet moment to chit chat with one another…

Last year, we left the party at 10plus as the little bunny is still young… This year, we persist on and we hang on till 11pm… Maybe in 2014, we can do a count down to X’mas with the rest… So looking forward to it…

Family Xmas Party on 25th
As the bunnies are getting older, we want to let them understand the true meaning of sharing and giving; hence we organized a mini family Christmas party on Christmas Day itself… We invited both side of extended family to attend, as well as my grandaunt and her family (oh… and her very adorable 3mth old twins). Apart from catering for an X’mas feast, we also brought the bunnies on a shopping spree to buy presents for all the family members.

After feasting, I engaged my mini Santa, a.k.a big bunny to help me distribute the presents… The mini Santa did a great job, judging from all smiles on every one’s faces… We really loved this idea of family X’mas gathering, so we decided to make it an annual tradition... Perhaps next year, my big bunny can help me with the selection of presents…

We attended our last X’mas party @ Junie’s house… The kiddos enjoyed cartoons on TV while the adults enjoyed the X’mas Gift Exchange session or rather gift snatching session… Good food… Great company…

I had done up what I am supposed to do at work... So I used some spare time to create some changes to my blog, so that I can record bits and pieces of my life to remember all the happy moments and to be thankful for everything that I have now and then...

I decided that this is not enough as there are simply too many pictures of the days that I like... So i decided to create a page to capture all my favorites photos of the families...

某个周日晚上， 妈妈拿了巴士屋和球要让两个宝贝玩。妈妈在建巴士屋的当儿，发生了以下的对话。。。

大哥 （a.ka. Big bunny) ：不是，是妈妈要我玩的。

妈妈：对不起，宝贝。妈妈实在不应该逼你玩球。哪，我们把巴士屋和球收起来吧。

大哥：妈妈，不要。我现在要玩球了。

妈妈：好吧，那么我们来继续建巴士屋吧。

When Music Meets Actions...

Last Sunday, we attended a ukelele class at one of the newly opened music school at Selegie.

Yes, we.... Daddy, Mummy plus our 2 little bunnies...

We had fun, except little bunny who was totally not interested in the ukelele.

Though complaining at the end of the short 50min session that his fingers are aching, overall, the big bunny had done well. He learnt to drum the ukelele, pluck the strings, several chords i.e. "C", "G" and "F" and played a couple of songs like "Rain Rain Go Away", "The Window" (a camp fire song) etc etc...

Daddy and Mummy had done well too... We should pat ourselves on the back =D

After the class, we proceeded to Takashimaya to see Ninja Turtles in action. Thanks to our buddy, Hse of Js that we managed to "cut queue" and join the little Js at the front of the queue. We did not expect the large crowd and that Ninja Turtles are such a hot favorite among the kids anowadays. Afterall, Ninja Turtles belongs to the era of Daddy and Mummy. The show was great. My big bunny even won himself a Ninja Turtle turtles as he could displayed some of the turtle power...

一次“痛”的经历

I have been having this pain on my back, somewhere near the lower spine area on and off, ever since I gave birth to the bunnies... When the pain comes, I will just need to apply my reliable salon pass and the pain will go away the next morning... But... The pain will come back again.

Couple of days back, I followed my parents to this 中医师 at Yishun for him to help me take a look at my back.... After the looking & pressing on back, his conclusion... My spine is tilted... Yes..."TILTED"...

He said there could be hundred of reasons why it happen and here's some..

~ During pregnancy, due to the weight of baby too heavy for me

~ Could have injured my spine back then when I slipped and fell (happened to me twice... and both on the stairs

~ Long term carrying posture of the bunnies with preference on one side (and yes, that is the side that is tilted)

~ etc etc etc

What the 中医师 did... he massaged, pushed, pulled and finally 拔罐 to adjust back my spine... only one word to describe the experience... PAINFUL... so painful that my tears started flowing. The big bunny even asked me, "Mummy, why are you crying"...

For now, I have to careful not to carry the bunnies too much and sit on any chair that is too soft... Hopefully, the adjusted spine won't be tilted again...

Dear tried out 拔罐 too as his neck are often stiff from prolonged sitting down and using the laptop... Useful or not, we shall see....

~ attended Kaden's 2nd school concert

~ do more art & craft related activities with the boys
~ try more recipes at home and with the boys
~ bring the boys out for some activities at least once a week
~ arrange for more overseas trips
~ go for more stay vacation
~ visit Singapore's places of interests more often
~ capture more photos of the bunnies and the family

RELATIONSHIP

~ been having couple dinners on weekday nights as MIL is not cooking
~ been doing grocery shopping on our own on weekday nights after dinner

Update on Clumsy Mummy

Day no 6 of clumsy mummy's blue black knees and ankle...

The blue black gotten worse... But they aren't painful anymore...

I assume they should be on their way to recovery soon...

Too many people who saw the blue black started asking too... "Oh, what ever happened to your leg?"...

Well, let's just hope the blue black will subside by Sat and my legs will be pretty to look at in photos while in Batam =D

Kaden: Nooooo.... Mummy, you had sang it wrongly...
Mummy: Okie, which part did I sang it wrongly? You want to sing once for Mummy? 
Kaden: Okie. It should go like this.. 小飞机，飞呀飞。飞得高，飞得底。请你带我上天空，看看月亮和星星。
Mummy: Hmmm, isn't this how I sang it just now?
Kaden: No, Mummy. You sang it wrongly just now.

No more excuses.. No more plain laziness..

I have not been updating my blog very regularly.

Been busy with...
- Handling Kaden's naughty 3
- Watching Reyes grow
- Managing siblings love & rivalry
- Preparing for family trips
- Managing a new job scope

Yap.. The above are just plain excuses.. To be exact, I think I am plain lazy..

I just downloaded the e-blogger phone app... Going to aim to update my blog more regularly, and on the go..

Target : I wanna capture my boys growing up progress... Shall start with minimum 1 post per week... Shall update more photos cos pictures speak a thousand words...

Blogging Again

It had been months since I last stopped blogging... 
Sigh, I wanted to blog about Kaden's progress and the little activities that the Lim Family had been doing over the countless weekend, but really 有心无力...  Projects at workplace had been keeping me very busy... Symptoms from 2nd pregnancy is worse than my 1st i.e. more vomiting, more kicking from little Reyes while in my tummy, and hence equate to a very tired mummy by nightfall... And lastly, sticky Kaden who demands lotz of attention whenever I'm at home... 

I'm now into my 1st month of maternity leave... Having some free time, hence is picking up the habit of blog writing again... Wanted to pen down all interesting things about Kaden and Reyes during their growing up stages...

To kick start, I made some changes to the blog, apart from just updating new posts...

~ There's now the 1st family photo that Dear & I took with Reyes @ TMC, just like that of Kaden
~ Updated  Kaden's picture of the day and added that of Reyes
~ Added picture of the day of the 2 brothers too
~ Did up a stick family picture for the Lim Family (inspired by my best pal's blog)
~ Remove the ticker for my pregnancy countdown and added to a birthday ticker for Reyes
~ And lastly, updated the description of the writer, from About Me (Really about Ting only) to About Us (This time about Dear & Me), with additional text on us being just a happily married couple to what we are now, as a family of 4  

Looking forward to enjoy motherhood to my 2 princes... Hope to be able to manage my time well to juggle having some ME time i.e. facial, blogging etc... some couple time for just the 2 of us i.e. spa, dinner, movies etc and lastly, some family time (sometimes just for us with Kaden alone and sometimes as a family of 4)

Meanwhile, I just wanna announce : I AM BLOGGING AGAIN =D
