Home Learning : Chinese New Year Theme

To let the bunnies know more about the upcoming Chinese New Year, I worked on some activities to do with them... which includes exercises to find out what are the things we normally do during CNY, the 12 animals zodiacs etc

Not sure if the bunnies had gained more knowledge about CNY but they sure do have fun in the activities...

Learning about the 12 animals zodiac...
To him, the rat doesn't come 1st... Ox comes 1st, follows by his dearest Mummy (Rooster) and his beloved didi (Dragon)... Daddy (snake) is normal, so he will be no 1, counting from the back... Ha ha ha...

A happy bunny after the 12 animals zodiac activity...

Next up... creating a dragon in preparation for the dragon dance... Coloring the dragon in progress...

Dragon ready for its dance... Coloring and cutting of template all done by big bunny himself...

I love Gingerbread Man

I saw a gingerbread men kit on sale at Cold Storage during the Christmas Season but I didn’t buy it as I was not sure if I had time to work on the kit with my big bunny. On the morning of Christmas Day, while I was doing some grocery shopping, I chanced upon the kit again. It was the last box standing on the shelf and it was going at $10, almost half of usual price it was selling for previously. Without even thinking, I grabbed the box and placed it in my shopping basket.

So, on a quiet Christmas afternoon, before the Family Christmas party begins, and while the little one is napping, big bunny and I started to work on the Gingerbread Men…

The kit contained 3 giant pre-baked gingerbread men, pre-made white icing, supersized jellies and candy jewels… Following the instructions on the back, we successfully designed all the 3 gingerbread men… Well done to US!!!

Next year (forward planning coming into place… ke ke ke), I shall aim to get my hands on the Gingerbread House set… (P/s… heard that I can get them from IKEA… )

After the Christmas Tree... It's the Christmas Deco...

Following the D.I.Y Christmas Tree... we continue with the Christmas deco ard the house...

1st, we gave our family car a little revamp... I bought a reindeer set for the car, only to know that our reindeer horn cannot fit in as our car has rain filter... Nonetheless, we put them up for some photo taking session... What is now left on the car is only the striking red nose...

Our Red Nose Rudolph "Car"... Can you spot our little driver?

Next up, we had fun with some snow spraying on our balcony door... With compliments from Aunty Mabel are the sponsored snow spray and the Daiso snow spray stencils... Now our living room looked like those nice restaurants with x'mas deco...

Our D.I.Y Christmas Tree

Hurray, we've gotten a Christmas tree in the house...
Not a real one but a D.I.Y 2D x'mas tree....

We decided against a real xmas tree due to lack of "running" space in the living room plus our "crabby" little bunny who might make the tree bald by the time it is X'mas...

So, using green and brown paper, with some cute pictures take from the internet, there you go... our 2D X'mas tree on the photo wall... Coming 24th Dec, we are going to start putting the presents "below the tree"...
