Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 3]

3rd day at Guangzhou, in the day, we visited Chime Long Safari Park... This is the Safari Park where the casts "爸爸去哪儿" filmed their movie at...

Chime Long Safari Park (长隆野生动物世界)
Early in the morning, we arrived at the Safari Park... 1st we embarked on their Safari on wheels to get up close and personal with the wild animals... This is also the movie set where "爸爸去哪儿" was filmed... We could see the animals running wildly beside our tram as well as the five little huts where the daddies and their kiddos stayed at during the filming... However, due to safety reason, we were not allowed to get off the tram...

One memorable scene while on Safari on Wheels...

Mummy : Kaden, look... Mummy's friend is in front...
Kaden : Huh, your friend? Is it chicken?
Mummy : @_@ |||||||||||||    No......... it's lion...

Mummy 0 vs Kaden 1

After the Safari on wheel, we proceeded to roam the park by foot.. We visited the pandas, the koalas, the elephants and many many more animals... We even had lunch beside the pandas, which make me wonder, why did I pay to see panda in Singapore and I only get to see either their ass or their video footage via a TV... ke ke ke..

Inside the park, there is also a kid play area where all the fun rides are free... The bunnies had many rounds on it and they simply loved the park...

Anything that I will miss about Guangzhou? I guess this Safari Park will make it top on the list...

Tickets to the Safari Park...

When night falls, we make our way across the other end of the Chime Long premises to get ready for the Chime Long International Circus show "魔幻传奇II"... we spent a bit more and secured the VVIP seats, which is the 1st row Show was very impressive... So impressive that we have minimal photos as all our eyes are on the show.. Yes, including the bunnies...

One memorable scene while watching the circus... whenever there are scenes involving fire or heat, little bunny will automatically take my hands to cover his eyes.. When the "hot" scenes are over, he will remove my hands and continue watching the show again.. So adorable...

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 2]

2nd day at Guangzhou, we went on a day trip to Foshan, which is about an hour drive away from e main Guangzhou city...

南海影视城
We visited one of the four Movies & TV bases of China Central Television, which comprising three scenic spots and one performing area epitomizing both brilliant past and present of the city. Due to big square area of the 影视城, we decided to hire a private buggy with driver to take us around... This was the best decision we made on that day...

In our private buggy, we managed to watch all the 3 shows at the movie city...  Visited almost all the various movie sets too.. Really loved these movie sets and the bunnies had a great time too...

Visit to the palace set... The city girls transformed to ancient princess... Amid them are the prince charming and the little prince...

Big bunny fell asleep amid the good weather... and a good chance for little bunny to kiss and cuddle him while he is sleeping..

南海观音寺
After lunch, we made our way to one of the famous temple in Foshan..

With 5 mini halls within the temple, the temple covers an area of about 20k sqm... The halls are arranged on three layers with one upon another, hence it's exercise time for us.. With 2 bunnies in tow, we still managed to climb all the way

The main buildings inside the temple include Tianwang Temple, Grand Hall, Liuzu Temple, Jialan Temple and Kwan-yin Hall, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters (4.94 acres). They are arranged on three layers with one upon another. The Kwan-yin Temple can be seen from quite a distance and is quite grand. On the central axis of the Kwan-yin Temple, there is a road called the Imperial Pass for the imperial carriage with the stone carvings of dragons and lotuses. According to the regulations in the feudal society, only the palaces can have an Imperial Pass and only the imperial court can have dragon carvings. However, Nanhai Kwan-yin Temple is an exception for it is a palace-style temple.

Guangzhou l Hongkong Family Trip [Day 1]

We are back!!! From our 8D9N family trip in Guangzhou and Hongkong....

Conclusion:
We had fun, or rather only the bunnies and I had fun...
While poor daddy had to nurse a fever in the mid of the trip (P/s: Daddy still prefer the chill-lax Bali trip)...

And why did the rest of us had so much fun?? We simply adored the weather and amid the weather while doing all the following....
(1) Day 1: Nice lunch and dinner @ 2 different restaurants voted as top 5 restaurants in Guangzhou
(2) Day 2: Day trip to Foshan to view movie sets and to pray
(3) Day 3: Visit to Chimelong Safari Park and enjoy the Chimelong International Circus (Bunnies Fav!)
(4) Day 4: Mummy's ME time i.e. shopping @ wholesale market @ 630am (Mummy Fav!)
(5) Day 5: Visit to Disneyland by Disney MTR (Bunnies Fav!)
(6) Day 6: Shopping @ Sham Shui Po and Ladies Market
(7) Day 7: Visit to Ocean Park (Bunnies Fav!)
(8) Day 8: Last minute shopping @ Sham Shui Po

Dear and I still don't really fancy a holiday to China (except their wholesale market shopping for me) but we are really impressed with the Safari Park and the circus. Hongkong on the other end was much more enjoyable but visits to 2 theme parks (especially Disneyland) really tire Mummy out. Will we back again? Well, Hongkong is a definite yes but not so sure about China.....

Day 1...
21st March, we left for Guangzhou on a night flight with Tiger Air. The bunnies had a great time at the airport prior to boarding as they loved the big space and they were excited about boarding the plane... The adults however didn't enjoy the budget air a lot due to the space constraint... Made us missed our  SQ flights more...

Reached Guangzhou airport after 4hrs at 2am in the morning... Clearing the customs was a breeze (I guessed is the small crowd due to timing of flight arrivals)... Our picked up driver welcomed us warmly and soon we were on our way to our hotel...the weather was however COLD.... So cold that I gotta put on a scarf over my neck amid a cardigan over me...

Settled down promptly at the hotel (Yi De Hotel) and soon we we zzz-ing... The night flight tired us all and we only woke up close to lunch time the next morning despite not liking our hotel room...

About the rooms... Totally not impressed with the hotel hence no photos on it.. 1st night, my parents took a triple room while dear parents and us took a 2-bedroom apartment... The apartment cannot make it, small and filled with faulty things like doors, electronic etc, hence next morning when we woke up, we immediately request to change to 2 triple rooms... Luckily the hotel was accommodating and our requests were all accepted.. Though the triple room was better, but compared to our hotel room at Hard Rock which we visited last than a month ago, the difference is really too great to accept... Ke Ke Ke

Our itinerary for the day... Eating cum shopping all day long...
We had lunch and dinner @ 2 of the top 5 restaurants in Guangzhou, 陶陶居 and 蹈香 respectively... Verdict of Food = Impressive!!! To digest our food in between lunch and dinner, we spent time shopping at their 步行街 in the day (something similar to bugis street) and 天河城  at night (similar to our Takashimaya)... Did't buy a lot of things on the 1st day though... Maybe cos we were still exploring the area...

Catch little batman @ the Airport... P/s : while waiting for our flight out...

Our 1st lunch in GZ...  @ 陶陶居...
