My Birthday @ Fish Spa

Dear & I took leave on my birthday… We went to try out the fish spa café @ Marina Square… So exciting cos this is the 1st time we trying out this new spa…

Fish spa is the use of small little fish that nibble on your dead skin cells by scrapping their tiny mouths against your skin, sort of like exfoliation, the natural way. The fishes used are Garra rufa also known by multiple common names such as Kangal fish, Doctor fish or Reddish log suckers.

Doctor fishes originate from the Middle East, in rivers and springs of Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Turkey and Syria. They are 9-12cm bottom-dwelling fishes that live in waters ranging from 15oC-28oC. Surprising, they are able to live in thermal waters of 37oC as well. They generally feed on algae at the bottom of the river beds or zoo plankton, microscopic organisms that thrive in rivers and feed on even smaller microscopic organisms.
They are a much researched species of fish in Turkey and are postulated to aid in healing of skin diseases and disorders, one of which is psoriasis1-3, where a cure is yet to be found. This fish supposedly simultaneously releases some unknown enzymatic secretion and dithranol, a component of dermatological creams to enhance the skin condition by normalizing its pH and helps new skin cells regenerate a little faster than usual.

@ Fish Spa, there is a total of 4 pools… Pool 1 has the smallest fish, Pool 2 has the medium size fish, Pool 3 has the biggest fish and Pool 4 has the attacking fish…

Dear went into Pool 3 and got s small scare… It was scary and itchy… That was before the girl in charge came and explained to us about the Pool… After realizing that Pool 3 was one of the expert pool, dear came out immediately… In the end, we started out with Pool 1, before moving on to Pool 2… I never dare to try Pool 3 or Pool 4… it’s simply too scary for me…

As for the experience, it was totally good… sole of the foot is very itchy at first but the feeling will be gone after a while…Like it quite a lotz… Our legs were smoother… and the dry skin at the sole of our feet seemed to have been completely eaten up by our Doctor Fish…After the fish spa, we went on for body massage… only one word for the whole experience… SHIOK…

After the spa, we went to meet my sis and we had dinner at Crystal Jade Kitchen… Yummy… we also spotted one of the F1 car in front of Marriot Hotel… So looking forward to the night race… Totally enjoyed my special day =P

Sunshine Dinner @ Pariss International

We had our once a month @ Pariss International @ Marina Square last Friday... Attendance this time round not that gd as some of the gals had some last minute matters to settle... But then, we still enjoy ourselves...

We made reservation early as last Friday was the opening of Singapore annual fireworks festival... We managed to secure a window seats, facing the the national day parade floating platform.. Yap, that is exactly where the fireworks is gong to take place...

Imagine us eating to the fullest, then watching the fireworks right in front of us... Shld go for more outing next time... The food was not bad... In the end, we were busy snapping away on the food and forgotten to take pictures of the fireworks... wa ha ha ha...

Maybe this will prompt us for a 2nd time outing to watch fireworks =P

Hee... Hai... Hei... Bah....

I went kick boxing last night with Mab... So fun... This is the 1st time we took up this course at Hougang Sports Council... The instructor was a Malay guy... very funny.. We did lotz of upper body movement like jab (punching ur fist in front), upper cut, elbow etc etc etc... We let it go out yesterday too... With all the sound effects tog with the punching.. So shiok to sweat it all out...

In order to get ourselves more in shape, we agreed to imagine our worst enemy in front of us whenever we did the movements... Of course. "The One I Hate" was in my head through out when i did all the punching... I could even imagine him falling to the ground, pleading to be let him off... Ha ha.. who asked him to be so ya ya in office... Opps... tat's so violent... Luckily that was only me in the class... After class, i'm the girly me again =P

After writing mte previous post yesterday, I came to realised that "The One I Hate" has got so many "Hate Fans"... Seem like he shld change his attitiude in office... How to survive with no frenzs... Sigh...

Will keep up with my exercising habit.... Muz stay healthy... Of course "The One I Hate" had to continue to be my imaginery punching bag... Ha ha ha... now my arms are aching from yesterday training... i muz have really hated tat guy... I punched with all mightly forces... Now is "Ouch Ouch Ouch" for my arms... Ha ha ha
